Supporting Our Friends in Their Time of Loss

A dear friend and their family are walking through the difficult loss of their father. During times like these, even the simplest everyday things-like deciding what to make for dinner-can feel overwhelming.

Woodrow Baptist Church would like to surround this family with love, prayer, and practical support by providing meals during their time of grief.

If you would like to bless the family, please consider signing up to provide a meal. Whether it is homemade, picked up from a restaurant, or delivered to their door, every act of kindness is appreciated.

Our hope is simply to lighten their load and remind them that they do not have to walk through this season alone.

🍞 Woodrow Baptist Church Food Distribution

📅 Saturday, August 22
⏰ 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
📍 1491 FM 67, Covington, TX

Due to the Texas heat, we're changing our distribution process to help keep our families, volunteers, and food safe. Much of the food we distribute is frozen or refrigerated, so we will now be serving through a drive-through with household box allotments.

🚗 HOW IT WILL WORK

Please enter the parking lot from the entrance facing the church and remain in your vehicle. Please see the ariel map for a visual.

➡️ Food Pickup: Stay to the RIGHT and our volunteers will bring your food to your vehicle.

🙏 Prayer: After picking up. Please pull off to the grassy area in front of the church or park around the side of the building. We would love the opportunity to pray with you while you're here.

After receiving your food, vehicles will continue around and exit beside the church.

Boxes will be prepared according to household size so we can distribute what we have fairly and serve as many families as possible. Contents will vary depending on the food available for each distribution.

No need to get out—we'll come to you!

We appreciate everyone's patience as we introduce this new system. Our goal is simple: serve our community well, protect the food God has provided, and keep everyone safe in the summer heat.

Children will gather for a time in the word also.
