A huge thank you to the students of St. Scholastica Academy’s National Honor Society, led by Christina Uhlich, for organizing a food drive to support our Federation Care Closet. Their generosity brought in a wonderful collection of much-needed items like cereal, pancake mix, canned goods, peanut butter, and more to help support those who support our future, active and retired district employees and their families. 💙

Community partnerships like this truly make a difference, and we are grateful to these students for choosing to support our school community through service.

The Federation Care Closet is open:
• Tuesdays: 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM
• 1st & 3rd Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Tomorrow is the first Saturday of the month, so we will be open 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

The Federation Care Closet will be closed on Mardi Gras Day (Tuesday, February 17) so our team can enjoy the holiday.

🎄 Season of Care Project - A Season of Gratitude 🎄

This photo represents the 40 families we were able to support through our first-ever Season of Care Project. In less than three weeks, and with a Care Closet that is less than 100 days old, our community came together to help families fill some or all of their holiday wish lists.

In addition to Season of Care pickups, extended Care Closet hours over the past two days allowed even more active and retired employees to shop and stretch their paychecks while preparing for the holidays. The sense of care and community surrounding the Federation Care Closet is exactly why this program exists.

As we wrap up the season, please note that the Federation Care Closet will be closed for the remainder of the winter holidays and will reopen on January 6 with normal hours:

• Tuesdays: 4:30–7:30 PM
• 1st & 3rd Saturdays: 9:00 AM–1:00 PM

We want to wish a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all active and retired employees of the St. Tammany Parish School System. Thank you for allowing the Federation Care Closet to serve you and for trusting us to help stretch your paycheck when it matters most.

Thank you to everyone who donated, sponsored families, volunteered time, and helped create the strong sense of community that surrounds the Federation Care Closet.

A special thank you to Eileen for the many hours she dedicated to making the Season of Care Project possible in such a short time and for her continued commitment to growing the Care Closet into what it is today.

Thank you as well to Charlie, Brant, LaTasha, Caleb, and Paul for volunteering during extended holiday hours and helping carry out the Season of Care Project.

We are excited to see what 2026 has in store for the Care Closet and for all those who work day in and day out to help shape our future by educating the children of our parish.

🎄 HELP US CLOSE THE GAP — SEASON OF CARE PROJECT 🎄

The Federation Care Closet, which opened this fall, was created to support STPSB employees and retirees facing hardship. Our Season of Care Project is our first holiday support initiative, designed to bring comfort and dignity to as many households as possible this season.

Since opening this fall, the Federation Care Closet has already served countless STPSB employees and retirees. For our first Season of Care Project, we have already received over 30 applications from families seeking holiday support.

Our goal is to assist at least 20 households (hopefully more), but as a brand-new program with limited funding, we are seeking additional sponsors and donors to help us meet the need.

✨ What a fantastic morning at the St. Tammany Federation Care Closet! ✨

Thanks to our special holiday extended hours, we have already been able to serve at least 20 people this morning and we are grateful to everyone who has stopped by so far.

We have been restocking throughout the day and are ready to welcome even more visitors.
