Summer Camp Day 12—Sports Week!

Our second day of Sports Week was eve more amazing than yesterday!

Football! 🏈
Basketball! 🏀
Cheerleading! 📣
Soccer! ⚽️
Golf! 🏌🏿‍♂️
Lots of water! 💦
Lots of worship! ✝️

As we sharpen our skills, we’re also diving deeper into God’s Word! It’s a lot of fun and a lot of great conversations during huddle time!

Summer Camp Day 10—Great Outdoors Week!

FIELD TRIP FRIDAY!

Fish were caught!
Guns were shot!
Archery hit the bullseye spot!
Hunting dogs showed what they got!

An invitation to a fish private lake—and an army of TWRA Agents helped make it a day we will never forget!

Baker McCool gave up his whole morning to help us, along with TWRA Agents Amy Spencer , Tim Ward, Jake Yoes, Ed Gover, Austin Philips, Jacob Jones, and soooo many others! THANK YOU! What a blessing you gave our Club Kids today!

Then back to the Club for a hands on taxidermy lesson from our friend Allen Nance! THANK YOU ALLEN!! You do so much for our Club Kids! We are so grateful for you!

We sure are gonna sleep well tonight!

Summer Camp Day 9—Great Outdoors Week!

Wild Waters & Wilderness!

Covington Park & Rec and The Tipton County Museum did us RIGHT today! And so did our Park Rangers from Fort Pillow!

Crazy good times swimming at the Covington Aquatic Center! And LIVE snakes, Owls & other birds, and a beautiful walk on the Museum’s Nature Trail!

Thank you to the incredible staff and lifeguards at the pool! And thank you to the amazing team at the Museum! Our Club Kids had a blast!

Question of the day? “When can we go back? Can we do it again tomorrow?”

Summer Camp Day 8—Great Outdoors Week:

FIELD TRIP! And the Birds & the Bees!

We kicked off the day with a Field Trip to Atoka 16 Movie Theater to watch The Secret Life of Pets. The campers loved it—and some of us are still wondering what our pets are up to when nobody’s home!

Then back to The Club to learn about the REAL Birds and Bees!

Jessica Hernandez from Keep Tipton County Beautiful helped our Campers create organic bird feeders. Then Beekeeper Haley Wilson taught us how bees make honey and why these hard working insects are really the most important pollinators on the planet!

It was a G-rated day with some OMG good times!

Summer Camp Day 7—Great Outdoors Week:

TWRA Agents Jake Yoes, Ed Gover, Austin Phillips, and Jacob Jones wrapped up our Hunter Safety Course and 100% of our participating Campers earned their certificate. Now they are eligible to get their hunting license!

And then WE DANCED!!

Stay tuned! Tomorrow is the first of our three field trips!
