💙 Connecting with Our Community & Celebrating Our Educators! 🍎

Some of our Newton Education Foundation board members had an incredible time getting out into the community, sharing more about the work of the Foundation, and, one of our favorite parts, hearing about some of the amazing teachers who are making a difference every day! ✨

We loved the conversations, the stories, and the opportunity to connect with so many of you. Our community is filled with people who truly value education and the educators who pour into our students each day.

And we’re just getting started! 💙 We look forward to meeting even more of you at upcoming community events, sharing more about our mission, and continuing to celebrate and support the incredible teachers and students of Newton County Schools.

What an incredible journey! 🍎✨

As our Favorite Teacher Spotlight Series comes to a close, we want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who helped us celebrate the educators who make a difference in the lives of students each and every day. 💙

Throughout this series, we had the privilege of recognizing some truly amazing teachers and sharing just a glimpse of the lasting impact they have made on their students, families, and community. Every nomination and kind word was a beautiful reminder that great teachers do so much more than teach—they encourage, inspire, believe, and help shape the future.

To every teacher we celebrated, and to all of the incredible educators across Newton County, thank you for all that you do! Your impact reaches far beyond the classroom, and your influence lasts a lifetime. 🌟

The series may be ending, but our appreciation for our educators never does. ❤️

Oops! Things got so busy at the end of last year, we didn't get to share that we hosted another amazing author visit with Flint Hill Elementary School, Newton County Schools and Live Oak Elementary. Author visits are part of our efforts to build a strong culture of literacy in Newton County. We not only invest in making sure that teachers have the training they need to teach kids to become strong readers, we also make sure that our students are exposed to great books. For each author visit, every kid leaves with a book that we pay for - your donations help make that happen.

Students at Flint Hill and Live Oak elementary schools enjoyed a visit from the award-winner author/illustrator and received copies of his latest picture book.

The women of Newton Education Foundation were well represented at the Newton County Chamber of Commerce Think and Thrive event. Our board is made up of active, engaged leaders from across the county. Thanks (l tor r) Danielle Jones, Jill Morehouse Lum, Quinita Morrow, and Wendy Ro for all you do to provide opportunities for Newton County Schools students!!
