The La Havoc Baseball did a little very BIG thing this weekend!! To the parents, players and naysayers see below
Parents and players of 12u Havoc Take a look around this circle.
Everyone—and I mean everyone—told us this day wasn’t supposed to happen. They looked at our size, they looked at our record early on, they looked at the powerhouse teams we were playing against, and they wrote us off. They told us to be happy just to be here.
Well, look at us now.
Players, I want you to know something. You didn't just win a game today. You won a fight. You battled through exhaustion, you battled through doubt, and you battled through the moments in practice when you wanted to quit. When you were down and the pressure was suffocating, you didn't crack. You became unbreakable. That right there? That is championship character!!!!!
When I look at you, I don't just see athletes. I see young men/women who know how to work and fight. Through hard work, lots of yelling and some tears you have taught yourselves that 'hard' isn't a stopping point—it’s where the fun begins!!!!
And to the parents... thank you. Thank you for the endless drives, the laundry, the 100-degree days at the field, and for believing when even Evan and I were stressed and loosing our minds!!!!
This is a family victory. You fed them, you encouraged them, and you allowed us to create a village that could now can be built on even more. You’ve traded your time for something more precious than gold: memories that will last a lifetime.
So, remember this feeling. Its not about the trophy, not the score—but the feeling of sticking together when no one else believed. The lofe lesson you all learned this weekend!
Remember that in life, when things get hard, you have the heart to make it happen!!!
Finally a shout out to the Rockies organization their coaches and parents. You guys are amazing keep doing what your doing.!!!
