East Metro Board of REALTORS® Celebrates Adoption of Cricket Frog Trail Segment with Community Ribbon Cutting and Cleanup Event
Covington, Georgia — June 5, 2026 — The East Metro Board of REALTORS® (EMBOR) is proud to announce a special community partnership that reflects its ongoing commitment to service, stewardship, and community engagement.
Thanks to a generous sponsorship from EMBOR member and REALTOR® Cynthia Eagan, the East Metro Board of REALTORS® has adopted a portion of the Cricket Frog Trail. To celebrate this meaningful commitment to the community and the opportunities it creates for volunteer involvement, EMBOR will host an official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Community Cleanup Event on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The public, REALTORS®, community leaders, and local organizations are invited to attend and participate.
The event will serve as the official launch of EMBOR's Health & Wellness Initiative and provide an opportunity for volunteers to help beautify the trail by picking up litter and enhancing the area for residents and visitors alike. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and join fellow volunteers in making a positive impact on one of East Metro Georgia's treasured community resources.
The portion of the Cricket Frog Trail adopted by EMBOR is located directly behind Firehouse Subs in Covington and will serve as the gathering location for the ribbon cutting and cleanup event.
"This adoption represents much more than a section of trail—it represents a commitment to community, wellness, and bringing people together," said Angela Whitmire, 2026 President of the East Metro Board of REALTORS®. "We are incredibly grateful to Cynthia Eagan for her generosity and support of this initiative. As REALTORS®, we don't just sell homes or land; we invest in the communities where people live, work, and play. We are excited to celebrate this partnership while creating an opportunity for meaningful community service."
