The Rotary Club of Covington is making a difference!

Just before the new year, we gifted $1,000 to Police Who Care for Shop with a Cop. Then, last Tuesday, we gifted $5,000 to Heart of Newton. The funding stems from the Georgia Opioid Crisis Abatement Trust, which allows Rotary clubs to give back to causes related to fighting the opioid epidemic.

The Rotary Club of Covington, in partnership with the Kiwanis Club of Covington, is hosting the annual Community Prayer Breakfast tomorrow at 7 a.m. at the Turner Lake Complex.

This year's keynote speaker is Judge Ken Wynne.

This past Saturday, we gathered together for our 78th Empty Stocking Fund. Our club donated thousands of dollars worth in brand new toys and supplies to families in need across Newton County.

Thank you to all of our volunteers and for everyone who made this event possible!

The 32nd Annual Cars of the Past Car Show is happening tomorrow on the Covington Square from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This show is one of our largest fundraisers for our Empty Stocking fund, which provides families in need with Christmas presents around the holiday season.

There will be vendors, a 50/50 raffle and more
