Bradley Foundation "Food for Thought" has been established as a means of extending the path of learning and sharing initiated by its namesake. Larry sought to learn at every opportunity and at the same time share his knowledge with others. He tutored middle and high school students as well as his fellow classmates at Troy State University. Larry graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Manag

ement in June 2010 and was preparing for his Master’s in Environmental Business Administration at the time of his death in August 2010. Larry did this while remaining a devoted family man, working 40+ hours each week, attending classes in the evenings, assisting coach for his son’s football team, and so much more. It is our honor and intent to accurately represent Larry; therefore, every aspect of our foundation is lovingly and directly linked to him.

With a heavy heart I must let go of the the Larry D. Bradley Foundation, dba Food for Thought website.
From the beginning I vowed to maintain the 501c3 npo created in his memory for as long as I was able. Mounting economic issues were only partially to blame for my decision to let it go last year and now the website. I hold onto the possibility that one day, perhaps in retirement, I can begin again. Regardless, the Food for Thought program was greatly appreciated by countless students at Alps Road Elementary School in Athens, GA, by university students at UGA in Athens and UWG in Carrollton. Deans, teachers, staff, UGA Alumi and others throughout the state educational system praised our program for its unique approach to relieve a persistent and largely neglected component of education at the highest level in Georgia. The Larry D. Bradley Foundation was selected among all nonprofits in the state of Georgia by KIND Healthy Snackfoods as the winner of their nationwide KIND campaign and recipient of $7,000 towards meals for our program participants. What a privilege and blessing it has been to extend initiatives that Larry himself began years ago- tutoring those in need, encouraging self improvement while also providing nutritional support. To all who have shown support through donations and gifts of your time and talent, thank you. Special thanks to Mark Stone for your friendship and help when I needed it most. I smile when I think of this GA Tech fan sitting down at the UGA Presidents dinner full of Bulldog supporters... what a great night it was! Again, thank you.
