Community Action Program, Inc. of Western Indiana Established in 1966, Community Action Program, Inc.

Mission: CAP of Western Indiana empowers individuals and families toward self-sufficiency by addressing challenges through comprehensive services, support, and education. of Western Indiana (CAPWI) reaches out to those of low-income in Benton, Fountain, Montgomery, Parke, Vermillion, and Warren counties. We strive to address their multiple needs through a comprehensive approach, develop partnerships with other community organizations, involve clients in the agency's operations, and administer a full range of coordinated programs designed to have a measurable impact on poverty in our communities. CAPWI services are provided without regard to race, age, color, religion, s*x, disability, national origin, ancestry, familial status, or status as a veteran.

🍂 October is Energy Awareness Month! 💡

Did you know CAPWI offers a Weatherization Assistance Program? This program helps eligible households make their homes more energy-efficient, which can lower energy bills and improve comfort year-round.

Did you know?

The Warren Circuit Court, in partnership with the Fountain Circuit Court, offers the Free LIFT Program to provide free rides to eligible Fountain and Warren County residents involved in either Court system. The program helps individuals get to important obligations and services, including court hearings, probation appointments, treatment, medical care, parenting time, and other approved needs.

Once approved, rides are provided through our MAC Van Program.
