Today is Giving Tuesday 2025!

Giving Tuesday is one of the most important days of giving for non-profit organizations such as ourselves. While this year has created many hardships for people across the globe, we at the Green River Coalition have hardened our resolve to our mission to protect and enhance the Green River and watershed. Any contribution today will empower our mission to do even more in 2026!

All donations go towards protecting and enhancing the Green River and watershed by restoring critical habitat. Donate now to be a part of our movement to help keep our rivers clean for our community of people and wildlife alike!

Thank you so much for your continued support. Without YOU this work would not be possible.

Our plants are working hard at Riverview Park in Kent, WA to shade the river and enrich the soil! The native trees, shrubs, and grasses that we plant in the riparian zone of the Green-Duwamish River help keep water temperatures down, and that's great for the salmon! Native plants help enhance the soil quality, and that helps keep the riverbank from eroding. Planting native helps keep our world beautiful!

Happy May Day everyone! Spring has sprung and Earth Month has come to a close. The Green River Coalition thanks those that volunteered with us this past month, removing invasive plants and getting native species into the ground to support and enrich the middle Green-Duwamish River and the watershed.

To aid our efforts, please consider donating to our Coalition and our community of environmental stewards so we may continue to grow. We're running this fundraiser for the next two weeks and our goal is to get 36 people to donate whatever they can to elevate our outreach capabilities. As I read on a sign somewhere, anything helps!

We had a great time at Riverview Park in Kent, WA this past weekend, planting 80 pots of different native species of shrubs and grasses! These salmon, oso, and thimble berries will provide additional biodiversity to the ecosystem and watershed, bringing pollinators and cleaning up the soil and water! Thanks to our volunteers that helped out and got their hands dirty, and thank you to Kent Parks, Recreation & Community Services for all their help! Happy Earth Month everyone!
