Our Summertime Stock Up was once again a wonderful success this past week, made possible through the generosity of Covington Presbyterian Church, St. John’s Lutheran Church, St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Old German Baptist–New Conference, Covington Christian Church, Frieden’s Lutheran Church, Friendship Grace Brethren Church, Perrigo, New Tech Plastics, and many caring members of our community. Thanks to their generous donations and support, we were able to serve 40 families with much-needed household essentials, including toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap, dish soap, trash bags, toothpaste, hand soap, Kleenex, bar soap, and a bucket filled with cleaning supplies. As an added blessing, each family also received a bag containing paper plates, plasticware, napkins, and an activity book from the Miami County Park District, along with a calendar of events and programs. In addition, thanks to a grant from the Covington Community Chest, we were able to provide each family with a $50 Casey’s gas card to help ease the burden of high fuel costs.

The Covington Outreach Association extends its heartfelt thanks to the Miami County Foundation for its generous humanitarian grant, which will help us continue providing Covington families with essential support for rent, utilities, and food assistance.

This continued kindness and support has made a meaningful difference in the lives of families throughout our village and across Miami County and we are deeply grateful for the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to our community.

Next Saturday is the Drive-Thru Food Distribution at Edison College from 9-11am. No prior registration is needed

This weekend is a holiday weekend and the Saturday Food Distribution will not be this Saturday, but will be the following Saturday May 30.

Don't know what we're talking about?

Shared Harvest Food Bank has a monthly drive thru distribution of food. On Saturday May 30, it will be held at Edison State Community College (1973 Edison Dr. Piqua, OH 45356) from 9 until 11 am.

If you are picking up for someone else, please bring a copy of their ID & a Proxy letter ( available on www.sharedharvest.org) ***NEW: you can only pick-up for a maximum of 4 (four) families per vehicle. No pre-registration required.
