Access Louisiana

Access Louisiana The mission of ACCESS is to help support children with disabilities and their families in order to improve their quality of life.

Over the past three years we have raised over $120,000 to support families in Southeastern Louisiana and the Gulf South Region who have children with disabilities due to a variety of diagnoses such as

• Cerebral Palsy
• Spina Bifida
• Muscular Dystrophy
• Traumatic Brain Injuries
• Spinal Cord Injuries
• Stroke
• Autism

The funds are used to assist families in purchasing adaptive equipment, ass

istive devices, as well as home/auto modifications that are denied coverage by private insurance or Medicaid -- significantly improving the quality of life for these children. Our financial grants have provided funds for

• Custom manual and power wheelchairs
• Van modifications
• Adaptive bicycles
• Special needs car seats
• Home modifications to improve accessibility and safety
• Augmentative Communication devices

This is what community looks like. 💙

Meet Andrew, his mom Kelly, and Dr. Aaron Carlin. Thanks to ACCESS Louisiana, Andrew has a motorized bike that lets him do what other kids can do. Not because insurance covered it. Because you helped make it possible.

For 16 years, ACCESS has provided wheelchairs, home modifications, walkers, and so many other items that insurance and Medicaid deny. Nearly $200,000 in grants to kids right here in our community.

And we are not stopping.

🎃 BooFest 2026 is coming. Saturday, October 24.

Save the date. Show up. Make more stories like Andrew's possible.

We are incredibly grateful to Linda and Victor Noto for selecting Access Louisiana as this year’s recipient of funds raised through the St. Joseph’s Altar at Most Holy Trinity Church.

As part of this special tradition, the church allows the organizers to choose a nonprofit beneficiary, and they generously chose ACCESS. Members of the ACCESS Board were honored to accept the $1,000 donation in person on behalf of the organization. Pictured are Pastor Rodney Bourg, Victor and Linda Noto, Dr. Aaron Karlin, and board members Jenifer Baird and Kim Melvin.

Thank you to everyone involved for supporting ACCESS and the important work being done in our community.

Huge thank you to the incredible Ponchatoula Lions Club for their warm welcome and generous support of Access Louisiana 💙

We had the chance to speak at Bingo Night and share how their donations directly impact the families and individuals we serve. From thoughtful questions to exciting ideas for future fundraisers, the kindness and enthusiasm in the room meant so much to our team.

We’re so grateful for community partners like you who help us expand our reach and continue our mission. Thank you for making a difference!
