πŸ“£ Newton County 4-H BB Team Needs an Indoor Practice Location! πŸ“£

Do you know of an indoor space that might be available for the Newton County 4-H Shooting Awareness, Fun, and Education (SAFE) BB Team to use on Friday nights from January through May?

This team may only be two years old, but they've been hitting the bullseye from day one. Through the hard work and dedication of our youth members, line coaches, and certified coaches, every shooter has experienced personal growth and achieved new personal bests. In just two seasons, we've qualified a team for the Georgia 4-H State BB Match both years, doubled our State Match participation in 2026, and even earned a bid to compete at the Daisy National Match last year.

We're incredibly proud of how far these young people have come and are excited to continue building on that success. Our biggest challenge isn't interest, participation, or talent. It's finding a consistent place to practice and grow the program.

We have approximately 21 youth shooters and are looking for an indoor facility, such as a gymnasium, community center, warehouse, storage building, barn, airport hangar, church fellowship hall, or similar space, that can accommodate our practices.

A few things to know:

πŸ€The Newton County 4-H BB Team is covered by 4-H insurance.
πŸ€We provide our own target boxes, backstops/backdrops, and use magnets to collect spent BBs.
πŸ€Safety is our top priority, and all practices are supervised by certified coaches and trained volunteers.
πŸ€We are primarily looking for a facility that could be available on Friday evenings during the shooting season.
πŸ€As a youth development program, we strive to keep participation costs as low as possible for families. Because of this, we have very limited funds available for facility rental and would greatly appreciate a community partner willing to support local youth.

This program teaches responsibility, discipline, focus, sportsmanship, and firearm safety while providing opportunities to compete at the state and national levels.

If you know of a location that might be a good fit, or if you have a connection with a facility owner, please comment below or send us a message. We'd love to discuss how we can partner to continue providing these opportunities for Newton County youth.

Thank you for supporting Newton County 4-H and helping us invest in the next generation! πŸ€πŸ’š
