Suffering for righteousness sake often requires a reminder of the promises of God and the grace we have obtained through the cross. Suffering because of self infliction requires repentance and God to move through mercy!

“But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.”
‭‭I Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
