The Western Indiana Community Foundation is seeking a Scholarship Program Officer to manage WICF's scholarship program across Fountain and Vermillion counties. This position oversees the Community Foundation’s scholarship program by managing the application and award process for more than 100 scholarship funds, including the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship.

Responsibilities include managing scholarship processes, supporting applicants and selection committees, maintaining scholarship systems, increasing outreach efforts, and building relationships with donors and partners.

On this Flag Day, we are excited to share a unique fund held at the Foundation. The Covington Flag Fund was established to support the City of Covington, Veterans organizations, and other community groups to ensure our beloved American flags are proudly displayed.

The Covington Flag Fund helps:
✨ Facilitate and encourage the hanging of American flags
✨ Replace deteriorating flags
✨ Add new flags in qualifying areas of the community

In Loving Memory of Roger Coffing

The Community Foundation is saddened by the loss of Roger Coffing. Roger passed away on June 8, 2026.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Patti; his sons Tim (Holly) Coffing, Joe (Melanie) Coffing, and Mark (Beth) Coffing; and his grandchildren Tanner (Jessica) Coffing, Tyler (Jakob) Coffing, Trace Coffing, Brittany (Ryan) Coffing, Brooke (Kaleb) Gulley, Taylor (Justin) Orander, Hadley (Jordan) Kinderman, and Ashlyn Coffing. Roger was also a proud great-grandfather to Greyson Orander, Tinley Stimac, Beckham Orander, Noah Coffing, and Kohen Gulley. He is survived by his sister Rita Paxton and brother Greg (Lori) Coffing, as well as sisters-in-law Sally Gritten and Kay Hunter. Click the link below to learn more about Roger’s life.

With a library card, you can check out a kit for one week and explore topics such as:

These hands-on kits are a great resource for families, students, and anyone interested in learning more about the outdoors while exploring local parks, trails, and waterways.

What an incredible start to summer for these students! ☀️🌲

WILD Indiana: Outdoor STEAM and Adventure Camp is a recipient of a $7,500 grant from the Covington Community Foundation! The program allowed local 4th and 5th-grade students to explore Indiana through hands-on experiences and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Camp participants visited Martell Forest, The STEM Connection/Newfields Museum, and Bluespring Caverns before wrapping up their summer with an overnight camping trip to the Indiana Dunes.
