Education is an important part of the Wabash River Blueway Project, and we recently visited our local elementary schools to distribute educational tote bags and resource kits to teachers for use in their classrooms.

These kits were created to support outdoor and environmental learning and include books, activities, projects, and hands-on materials inspired by the Expeditions in Education day held last November.

We appreciate the opportunity to provide these materials and look forward to seeing how teachers incorporate them into student learning experiences!

The Wabash Valley Community Foundation was grateful to join fellow community foundations today for the quarterly West Central Indiana Regional Community Foundations meeting, hosted by the Parke County Community Foundation at The Ranch in Rockville. Thank you to Parke County Community Foundation for hosting and to The Ranch for providing a fantastic meeting space.

Community Foundation staff members representing grants, scholarships, finance, marketing and community engagement joined CEOs and Executive Directors from across the region to share ideas, discuss challenges and successes, and strengthen connections with colleagues.

As always, it was a wonderful opportunity for networking, collaboration and catching up with one another!
