The Fountain County SWCD staff enjoyed helping judge 4‑H projects at this year’s county fair. Congratulations to Re*****on Stull, our Grand Champion, and Evelyn Mattern, Reserve Grand Champion. We also had two new soil and water science poster projects from Nora Stull and Parker Ratcliff. Our team also judged Mini 4‑H projects. We were excited to see several leaf‑rubbing artworks created during our April workshop with the mini members. It’s always rewarding to see hands-on conservation activities show up in their fair exhibits.

Behind every steak, burger and roast is a farmer, a family and a whole lot of early mornings, muddy boots and dedication. This May, join us in recognizing the beef producers who keep agriculture strong in the Indiana.
