Each year, we sponsor exceptional young women in their junior year of high school to attend this prestigious program, covering the full cost of tuition. Tessa was chosen for her leadership, integrity, and dedication to her school and community.

American Legion Auxiliary Oklahoma Girls State is one of the most respected youth leadership programs in the nation. During this immersive experience, delegates take part in a hands-on government simulation, forming their own cities, counties, and state leadership while learning how democracy actually works in real life.

It’s more than a program, it’s a launchpad for future leaders who are ready to step up and make a difference.

Each year, our Post selects outstanding young men in their junior year of high school to represent our community at this prestigious program, covering the full cost of tuition. Tad was chosen based on his leadership, character, and commitment to his school and community.

American Legion Boys State is one of the most respected and selective youth leadership programs in the nation. During this immersive experience, students don’t just learn about government, they run it. Participants build and operate their own mock city, county, and state governments, gaining firsthand knowledge of how our system works and what it means to be an engaged citizen.

This program has been shaping future leaders since 1935 and continues to inspire young men to pursue service, leadership, and civic responsibility.

With your support on these events we are able to send kids to camps like Oklahoma American Legion Boys State and ALA Oklahoma Girls State, support local veterans and host other community events like the Town Christmas party and 4th of July BBQ.
