Pack 444 ~ Our Story
Pack 444 has been serving the community for the last 40 years! Our Pack is chartered (sponsored) by First Presbyterian Church of Covina. We meet the first 3 Mondays of every month (Sept-May) as a Pack during the school year to celebrate our Scouts Achievements and enjoy the fellowship of one another. During the months of September through May we are goal oriented on completing Achievements and Adventures in our appropriate Rank. Scouts receive awards, belt loops, patches and pins. During the summer months we offer several activities to keep your Scout moving and having FUN! Pack 444 is a very active pack! Our young men are highly successful Cub Scouts! Most importantly they are constantly learning new skills and so much more. Come and check us out or spend some time at our website! Let your family come to an event and participate with our Pack's adventures. We are looking forward to adding new scouts to our current Cub Scout family! As a parent, you want your son to grow up to be self-reliant, dependable, and a caring individual. Scouting has these same goals in mind for him. Since 1910, Scouting has been weaving lifetime values into fun and educational activities designed to assist parents in strengthening character, good citizenship, and physical fitness in youth. We know that boys do not join Scouting to get their character built, boys join because it is FUN! SCOUTING IS FUN WITH A PURPOSE!! Cub Scouting is also a family and home centered program that encourages ethical decision making skills. At every level of the program, goals and achievements are specifically tailored for their intended age group. Parents play a critical role in a Scouts growth by encouraging attendance, assisting with their advancement, attending meetings for parents, and assisting with helping our Pack go. Parents just like you run the Pack. Each of our leaders and committee members has a boy in the Pack and has offered to help the Pack go; making the program as successful as it can be. Without our parent VOLUNTEERS, the Pack would not run smoothly. We encourage anyone to help out in any capacity possible.
