Good Morning Livestock Community,

This is the last day to order DNA Kits online for the Market Steers, if haven't order yet, yall have until 5pm today to do so.

9 days until the Possession Deadline for Market Steers, turn into the State Fair of Louisiana Livestock office.

Please use Priority mail in case it gets lost when sending it in.
Please do not wait until the last minute to order the DNA kits.

These days we have snail mail, we don't have Paul Revere delivering anymore.

Today's Senior Spotlight is Viktor Novosad. Viktor is an exchange student from Slovakia, who has become an active member of the Red River Parish 4-H program, through the food challenge competition, livestock, and junior leader program. We have been so blessed to have Viktor this year!

Today's senior spotlight is FaDasia Demery. FaDasia has been an active member of the Junior Leader program in Red River Parish 4-H, pledging her heart for larger service to her community. She has been a part of many service projects in Red River Parish and throughout the state. Congratulations, FaDasia!

Today, 9 4-H members from Red River High School visited the elementary, reading a children’s book and speaking to the students about agriculture. They also gave some teachers the book, titled “The Soil in Jackie’s Garden”, garden related bookmarks and other activities. Thank you to Mr. Arnold, the 4-H leader at RRHS for coordinating the trip and thank you to Louisiana Ag in the Classroom and Farm Bureau for donating these materials!

The squish kabobs did not place in the top three, but we couldn’t be more proud of them as they competed in the 4-H State Food Challenge today! It was an accomplishment to make it this far! They worked so well as a team!

The 4-H pet show only had one contestant, but Vivian was the star of the show with her dog Tody! It was clearly evident how much he loved her and how good she is with him.

Today's 4-H senior spotlight is on BriAunna Taylor. BriAunna has been an active part of the Junior Leader program in Red River Parish 4-H, taking on leadership roles and having a huge heart for serving her community. Congratulations, BriAunna!
