Courtland Community Empowerment

Courtland Community Empowerment Courtland may be a town of under 300 people but the people who claim this town as their community is much, much larger.

Courtland Pride Club supports our community and area activities. Courtland Pride Club created this page to keep everyone updated on their activities. We will post our monthly minutes, fundraising opportunities, community events, and photos of projects we've helped complete. This page is not only for our current residents but for our alumni who want to support the Pride Club morally, financially, o

r any other way. We appreciate all efforts to improve the quality of life in our small town. Last year we sponsored or helped with:
-Santa's Workshop
-Christmas Open Houses
-Easter Egg Hunt
-Halloween Party and Hay rack Ride
-Park Renovation
-Fall Fest
-Providing Volunteers for PVHS Basketball tickets taking

Most of these activities, especially those involving children, had significant increases in participation last year. We donated to:
-New Banners for Main Street
-New shelves for the library
-Park Renovation Fund
-After Prom
-Arch Project dismantling

All this is funded by your membership in Pride Club and support of the Pancake Day, coming February 22th!

We had a good time at this event, learning different ways towns across Kansas are tackling their pool project and look forward to working with the City of Courtland to jump-start our pool work!

Twenty-seven community leaders representing 13 Kansas communities and 11 counties gathered in Solomon for a Kansas Sampler Foundation Do-Alogue focused on practical ways rural communities can strengthen connection, participation and pride using the people, places and resources they already have.

Odell Tax and Accounting Ribbon Cutting

Great turnout today for the Odell Tax and Accounting ribbon cutting in downtown Courtland. Carly Odell actually started the business before tax season 2026, but we waited until after that time to celebrate. We are excited to have her business in Courtland.

Bring your muck boots and join us tomorrow morning at 8 am. The meet-up will be at 301 Main in Courtland. The Eager Beavers 4H Club will be joining us. It should make quick work of the highway clean-up 1 mile north of town.

Come help make the highway north of Courtland shine! We will be doing the highway trash pick up on Saturday, June 6th at 8 am. Come grab a bag and help out! Many hands make light work!
