Who we serve: SWCC

What they do:
SWCC stands for Special Warfare Combatant Craft Crewmen. These elite personnel operate high speed boats that insert and extract special operations forces in hostile maritime environments. Their missions require split second decision making, precise boat handling, and complete trust in the crew beside them.

Why Hold the Reins:
SWCC operators spend their careers focused on the success and safety of the team. Hold the Reins gives them the opportunity to focus on themselves in a peaceful, individualized environment.

These heroes are human.

They are trained to perform under pressure, to push through exhaustion, to adapt, overcome, and keep moving forward.

But no amount of training makes someone immune to stress, trauma, depression, or the challenges of coming home.

For many Naval Special Warfare families, the mission doesn’t simply end when they walk through the front door. Learning how to reconnect, slow down, communicate, process what they’ve experienced, and be present at home can be its own journey.

That is where connection matters.

At Hold the Reins, we believe horses can create a space to slow down, reconnect, and begin forming what comes next. A place where there is no mission to accomplish and no expectation to be anything other than yourself.

Because sometimes moving forward isn’t about going back to who you were.

It’s about forming a new path, building a stronger foundation, and discovering what the next chapter can look like.

And if you’re struggling to find your way home, know this:

There is a place for you here.

Come to the farm.
Meet the horses.
Take a breath.

Welcome home. We’re here to help you find your way forward.

Who we serve: Navy SEALS
Navy SEALs are trained to conduct some of the military’s most demanding special operations missions. Whether on land, at sea, or in the air, they spend years preparing for deployments that require teamwork, adaptability, and the ability to perform under extreme pressure.

Why Hold the Reins:
When your career requires constant readiness, slowing down doesn’t always come naturally. At Hold the Reins, horses create an opportunity to reconnect with the present, without expectations or performance.
