Together With Veterans AND Morris County and Frederick Phillips Post 121 invites Veterans, family members, and citizens to our monthly Veterans Coffee on the 6th of June 2026 at 9:00 a.m. This will be at the American Legion Post in White City.

We will discuss Legistrative issues as well as concerns that you have for Veterans.

We hope to see as many of you as possible.

As with everyday, I remember. Today especially. I remember all the Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Airman, of every generation. I remember those who fought and were never recognized and still gave the ultimate sacrifice. I remember those souls who are yet to be returned home. I remember the sacrifices that they made for our country and those of us who are still free to live as we choose. I remember the families that have fallen to their knees when they find out that their loved one will not walk off the plane, but be carried under our Fag. The Flag that holds hope for the next generation of those who choose to serve this great Nation. I remember those who did not die on the battlefield, but were lost because the battlefield never left them. I remember. I can never repay the sacrifice that they made, I can only honor it. On this Day of Remembrance, take a moment and pray for our lost souls and their families. Remember the cost of freedom. Remember that it has been inherited from those who knew what the sacrifice might be and still fought. For us. For our Country. Remember.

Fredrick Phillips America Legion Post 121, Council Grove, will conduct a variety of activities on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th beginning with two wreath laying ceremonies at 9:00 at the Veterans Memorial on the east side of the Morris County Courthouse, 501 West Main Street, and the Greenwood Cemetery, located on West Main Street.

Post 121 will conduct it's Memorial Day Ceremony honoring those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for this great Nation, beginning at 6:30 at the Council Grove Recreation and Events Center, 1020 Old Highway 56, in Council Grove. The public is invited, and encouraged, to attend.

NOTICE: Fredrick Phillips American Legion Post 121, Council Grove, is rescheduling their monthly meeting from Monday night, May 18th to Thursday night, May 21st at 6:30 PM at the old National Guard Armory in the classroom due to anticipated poor weather conditions.

All Veterans are welcome to attend!

NOTICE: SEEKING VOLUNTEER SUPPORT FOR A COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT!

Fredrick Phillips American Legion Post will perform a Community Service Project on the flagpoles at Sunny Slope Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Saturday, May 16th beginning at 10:00 AM in preparation for Memorial Day. All supplies will be available.

Any young people looking for Community Service hours can have those hours documented by Post 121 with a signed letter by the Post Commander showing the number of hours of community service provided.
