Congratulations to our May “Earn a Slice for Being Nice” Student of the Month winners! 🍕🎉

These students have shown kindness, respect, responsibility, and positivity throughout the month of May. We are so proud of the example they set for others each day!

As a reward for their outstanding behavior and leadership, they earned a special pizza celebration! Thank you for helping make our school such a great place to learn and grow.

☁️ PJs, Popcorn, and Pure Fun! 🍿✨

Get those slippers ready! This Wednesday, May 20th, we’re trading in our school clothes for our favorite pajamas for PJ & Popcorn Day!

It’s been a busy month of Change Wars and celebrations, so the PTO wants to help everyone "chill out" and enjoy a cozy mid-week treat.

What you need to know:

💤 The Fit: Wear your favorite (school-appropriate) pajamas to school!

🍿 The Treat: Every student will receive a bag of fresh, delicious popcorn to enjoy during the day.

🎟️ The Cost: Totally FREE, courtesy of your PTO!

We were so excited to welcome author Ms. Bonine for a special visit with our students!

Students had an amazing time listening to her recently released book, A Magical Summer Day, and hearing all about the inspiration behind the story. The excitement and smiles throughout the room made it clear just how much everyone enjoyed the experience!

A huge thank you to Ms. Bonine for spending time with us, sharing her love of reading and writing, and helping inspire our young readers and future authors. 💙

After an awesome battle of coins, cash, and classroom teamwork… we officially have a winner! 🪙💵🎉

🥇 Congratulations to TEAM 2 for taking the victory with an incredible total of $495.98!

Team 1 put up a great fight with $381.36, but Team 2 pulled ahead and earned themselves a well-deserved 🍧 POPSICLE PARTY! 🍧

A HUGE thank you to all of our students, families, and staff who participated and donated during the Change War. Your support and excitement made this so much fun, and every bit helps make great things happen for our school! ❤️

Last week we had the opportunity to celebrate our amazing teachers and staff during Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week! 💚🍎

The PTO was proud to provide lunch and gift cards for the incredible people who give so much to our students and school every single day. We are so thankful for everything you do and all the care, patience, and support you show our kids throughout the year.

We also want to give a huge shoutout to Frosted Pine Coffee for accommodating the large number of gift cards we needed and helping make the week extra special. We truly appreciate the support!

🐧 Big News: Author Martha Bonine is Visiting Today!
We are so excited to announce that local author Martha Jane Bonine is spending the day with the Lewis and Clark Explorer Community!

Ms. Bonine is visiting our classrooms today to share her brand-new children’s book and talk to our students about the magic of storytelling and the wonders of the natural world.

📖 About the Book: A Magical Summer Day: An Antarctica Tale
Set in the icy landscape of Paradise Bay, Antarctica, the story follows Aurora Adelie and her penguin pals. What starts as a fun day of play turns into a lesson in bravery when they encounter Leonardo the Leopard Seal. It’s a beautiful story about:

Facing fears with courage.

Problem-solving together as a team.

Opening your heart to new friendships.
