We attended the Omaha I-80 Cosmopolitan Club meeting this morning. They do a great deal for diabetes in the community and presented us with a generous donation for Camp Hot Shots. We are so appreciative!

Yesterday I visited with a great group about Camp Hot Shots. Please share this grassroots support group for grandparents. Trish and Bill started this a few years ago and it was a joy to share our journey. A couple of the participants were grandparents of campers and /or counselors and shared my enthusiasm and love for Camp Hot Shots!

Two of the participants even wrote a book about the conversations they have in their group. You can see the book in the picture and it is available on amazon. There is support out there and we are a community!

Update: Counselor positions are filled with a great group of young adults ready to make this year great!

We only have a few spaces for campers right now. We are looking forward to year 30!

We attended the Casino Night Fundraising event for the Omaha I80 Cosmopolitan Club. They are doing great things within diabetes community and we are grateful to be a recipient of their generosity. Ella and Alaina Shade were the speakers this year. Their family has been involved with Camp Hot Shots for many years. These two did a great job sharing what diabetes camps means to them! Thank you!
