Meet one of our recent grant recipients, Trace, age 16, from Texas.

“He is very active within his community, family, school, and theater.”

His audiology team at Hear in Texas, Savage Soul Media, and his school are so inspired about his journey that they will be doing some filming to make a short video centered around Trace’s hearing journey. “Through a combination of short interviews, school-day moments, and real-life activities, [they] hope to create a meaningful story that encourages other families and students while also celebrating Trace’s resilience and personality.”

His family and care team are “incredibly grateful to the HIKE Fund for the life-changing support that made his hearing technology possible. [Their] goal with this project is to thoughtfully highlight Trace’s experience with hearing loss; the challenges, the growth, and the beautiful “other side” of what is possible when the right care, support, and opportunity come together.”

From his care team, “You all are doing amazing things for children with hearing needs and we appreciate all of those in your organization that have a part in making a difference in these children's lives! We truly believe his story has the power to encourage many others who may be walking a similar path.”

Can you still use Facebook fundraisers to ask for donations and raise awareness of The HIKE Fund? YES! But....there's also a better way.

Application submission is temporarily suspended until further notice. A kind reminder to send any funds from your fundraising efforts as you receive them. Please do not hold them to accumulate until the end of the term (June). We keep an active log of your fundraising efforts and you can reach out for your jurisdiction's progress at any time.

The annual Lincoln Truman (Missouri Illinois) Was held in Fenton, Missouri today. $5060 was donated to Hoke and then flamingo flinging happened!
