Pottawattamie County Trails Association A group of people dedicated to the realization of the County-wide Trails Plan for Pottawattamie County Iowa Watch for future meeting announcements.

Mission: Promote Health and Prosperity for future generations. Vision: Design, develop and promote a county-wide trail system in Pottawattamie County. The group will be seeking public participation and input to help develop the plan.

Thank you to all who came out and participated in our Trails Ribbon Cutting | Council Bluffs to Smith Wildlife Refuge ceremony celebrating Phase 3 of completion on our Great American Rail-Trail!

It turned into a beautiful evening with the sun shining. ☀ This new section of trail marks just the beginning of what’s to come. We are currently in the design stages for continuing the Great American Rail-Trail, with plans to extend the trail to the east and ultimately connect into Cass County. Be sure to watch for updates, new information, and even opportunities to participate in surveys as we continue working on these exciting future projects!
