For Sale! (Christmas is coming...!)
Did you know you can purchase a handmade item, and your money will go back into the ministry of FGCI? Pictured here are several (of many) framed needlepoint art pieces, crafted by Romanian single mothers and institutionalized women with special needs. FGCI supplied the stitchers with all needed materials free of charge and, upon completion, paid each artisan for their work. Each woman worked at her own speed - anywhere from one to three months or more. This is a way FGCI provided emotional, physical, and dignified support for these individuals, as well as giving them an occupation they could do at home. Now we are looking to re-home these exquisite pieces! Each purchase helps fund FGCI so that we can continue being Jesus in Romania and Moldova. Will you help?

These particular pieces feature the Nativity, Jesus and little children, and a winter scene - all skillfully stitched with care. The included wood frames are also handmade! Dimensions and prices are listed with each picture (click/tap photos to open).

Every item is unique, and we only have ONE each of these specific pieces. If you would like to purchase any of these, please comment on the picture. We will then reply with a link for you to complete the purchase through PayPal (you do not need a PayPal account). You can then decide if you would like to pick up your new art at the FGCI office (Council Bluffs, IA), Camp of the Good Shepherd (Louisville, NE) or an area church, such Kingsway Christian Church. [We are currently unable to ship items.]

We are still taking donations for this special Christmas effort! >>

Imagine yourself at the onset of winter. Nearly four years ago you fled your war-ridden country with nothing but the clothes on your back.

What little money you may have had, you have used for food and necessities for you and your child. There is no thrift store with affordable second-hand clothes. No Goodwill on the corner. Now what?

That’s what it is like for so many Ukrainian families of women and children who have taken refuge in Moldova. FGCI is actively supporting more than 30 of these families monthly with food, public transit, minimal necessities, and have provided Bible camps for encouragement. In addition to these things, with winter coming, these families also need new clothes, coats and boots, which are very expensive in Moldova.

We want to provide the means for them to purchase what they need, as a Christmas gift to them, in addition to the normal assistance we give. And we need your help! If we can raise $3500 before Thanksgiving, that will bless each family with at least $100 to buy new clothing for these moms and kids!

Ministry Update
For many years, we have ministered to special needs adults in our Sunshine (therapy) Room at a facility in Zebil, Romania. Nela Aneni has faithfully served on a daily basis, providing occupational therapy and socialization. Late this summer, this government facility closed. The high-functioning residents have been moved to a newly-built complex of small houses near Baia. FGCI will continue visiting them to show them love and, most importantly, Jesus. The remaining residents from Zebil have been moved to a different center in the city of Tulcea, where we will also continue to serve. Nela is still providing occupational therapy in this location. Government officials have asked us to build a new room so that we may continue our Sunshine Room ministry. Please pray that we will gain the funding needed for this building project!

Please be in prayer for our overseas Bible camps! We are hosting Bible day camps for kids in Romania, and also a family camp in Moldova for Moldovans, Ukrainian refugees, and Roma (Gypsies). Please pray that all who attend may be touched by Jesus’ love! Pray for all workers that they would have joy and endurance and BE Jesus to those who attend!

Camp season is in full swing at Camp of the Good Shepherd! Please pray for all of the workers, kids and deans. We’ve already had several baptisms, praise the Lord! Junior Camp begins today, then we still have Jr. High and Sr. High!

It's TOMORROW! The annual Family Bike Ride, plus Rally@theCamp! Join us for the ride at 10:00AM at the MoPac Trailhead at the intersection of Highways 31 and 50 just north of Louisville, NE! Then come to Rally@theCamp! at 4:00PM for a program, prayer time, picnic and more! (Don't forget, you can still get the Early Bird rates if you register your kids for camp at this event!!) See you tomorrow!

Thank you to all who prayed for our recent missions trip to Moldova! 19 of us completed building 2 tiny houses for those in need of homes! Praise the Lord, we also had 3 baptisms! God is so good. Please continue praying for our ministry and upcoming trips!

The Annual Family Bike Ride is Saturday, May 31, at 10:00AM at the OPAC Trail head at the intersection of HWY 50 & 31 just north of Louisville, NE. This is a great opportunity for some fun as a family! Parents and kids both are welcome to ride and delight in the great outdoors… while getting a bit of exercise, too!

Afterwards, you can come to Rally@theCamp! at Camp of the Good Shepherd to preregister your kids for camp and enjoy a free picnic!
