COBIA Masonic Lodge #631 COBIA #631, Masonic Lodge in Council Bluffs, IA. Grand Lodge of Iowa A.F. & A.M. Our meetings are held at the Masonic Temple 130 South 6th St.

Council Bluffs, Iowa. Our Stated Communication is held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM. We welcome all men into our fraternity who are seeking a chance to become better men; all they must do to become a Mason is to ask a Mason. This page can give you that opportunity to join our lodge or any lodge in your area. Now more than ever, the world needs Masonry and good men of strong moral character from a variety of different backgrounds and walks of life to help guide us through these troubled times. Help us grow by joining and help us extend our charitable reach by supporting all we do. Cobia has two different fundraisers throughout the year. The first annual fund raiser is on the second Saturday of November, which is our Hog Roast Dinner. This includes some scrumptious pork, Max’s beans, creamy corn, rolls, and salad. We also support a local pre-school class with supplies to help cover the gap that other funds do not cover, and provide them with a field trip to the Tangier Shrine Circus. We also work with the other two lodges in our temple, the Council Bluffs Police department and the local Eastern Star Chapters to raise funds for the Christmas Basket Project. The fundraiser for this is an annual Pancake Breakfast held in March. This project provides a basket of food, toys, and gloves for needy families in our community.

What a good year for Masonry!

Well done, Iowa Freemasonry!!! A year ago, we hoped that with nearly 200 lodges across the state, we could raise 10,000 pounds worth of food to help fight against food insecurity in Iowa. Little did we know things would blow up from there! Within even a few months, our lodges crushed that goal! So we pushed our new target to 50,000 pounds, then 100,000, then 150,000, and now we just passed 200,000 pounds of food and monetary donations raised! The Square Meals Initiative currently sits at 202,312 pounds raised this year!
