It’s finally here! We are so excited to be back in the Iowa Great Lakes region this week for our third annual Summer Chamber Music Festival ☀️🌊

All events listed here are free to the public. We will also be providing educational performances to the students of Spencer High School and to visiting 4th graders at Iowa Lakeside Lab.

This year’s festival is sponsored in part by the and the through the Iowa Arts Project Grant.

This opportunity is perfect for a current student interested in music, arts administration, and community engagement. You'll work closely with our team to support concert logistics, program development, and event documentation.

Candidates must be able to attend the Iowa Great Lakes Summer Chamber Music Festival in Okoboji, Iowa from May 23 - 30.

We are absolutely THRILLED to share that our 3rd Annual Iowa Great Lakes Summer Chamber Music Festival is being supported by a generous grant through the Iowa Arts Council, which exists within the Iowa Economic Development Authority, and the National Endowment for the Arts.

This was our third summer offering a part-time summer internship. We loved getting the opportunity to work with our 2025 intern, Ryan Kost! See what he had to say about his time with us:

“Over the course of this summer, I’ve gotten an opportunity to learn and participate in a side of music that I had never experienced before. Learning about what it is like to manage and be a part of a professional ensemble, music as a part of a non-profit organization, festival organization, grant writing and more alongside the Wild Prairie Winds has been an amazing experience. Our 2026 internship application will open in March 2026 and will be a PAID opportunity (more details to come).

Our 2025-2026 season is official about to begin! We will be in residency at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas this coming October 27-29.
