The final day had a few matches for both teams and then division finals. Both teams played their hardest but did not make it into the division finals. Which is totally ok! We went in knowing this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience to compete with teams around the world and to enjoy the experience of just being there. At least three students had social studies homework to interview different teams, all discussed game strategy with kids from other countries, and each of them had chances to drive with competitors worldwide.
They left this competition exhausted, but with new life-skills to problem solve, resolve conflict, pivot quickly when difficult situations arise (you never know when a beam that scores over 80 points will topple over), and most importantly: take the positive memories and experiences they had into their future lives.
These kids have all grown so much throughout the season, and to reach this level has been an absolute joy to watch. Here’s to an even better 2026-27 season, one that’s still student-centered and full of growth. Thank you for joining us and supporting these talented and determined kids!
