Nurture in Nature Our mission is to introduce children with disabilities to the transformative power of nature. Our vision includes hosting several camps per year.

Our Vision...

Every child is a unique gift to the world and Nurture in Nature creates a nurturing camp adventure to increase self awareness in its campers who are inspired to to explore the realm of possibilities. We lovingly welcome and invite members of the human species regardless of age, gender, race, religious preference, sexual orientation, medical or psychological conditions to embrace the

potential for self healing through harnessing the powers of nature. While immersed in nature, our aim is to showcase the empowering opportunities that exist when combining like ages with like abilities. We strive to recognize the individual gifts and talents each camper embodies so that one may experience the synergy of nature and healing. These experiences will provide unparalleled opportunities conducive for healing and self acceptance through our unique approach of including peer groups alongside nature as an integral part of attaining natural wholeness. We also recognize the financial strain many families face when supporting a family member with disabilities, therefore our services are free of cost to our participants. Our fundraising efforts throughout the year allow Nurture In Nature to offset the costs incurred by such an endeavor, making the possibility to experience an outdoor adventure more of a reality! Furthermore, Nurture in Nature seeks to break down the walls of isolation oftentimes felt by individuals with disabilities. We believe this begins with a meaningful connection with nature and others that share the same obstacles in life. It is our belief that when a person is affirmed, their increased sense of self-worth contributes to the greater common good. We are excited to shed light on the unrecognized potentials that lie within our community of disabled children, while using nature as our gentle guide toward healing and balance! Hello beautiful Campers-
We have created small “Winter Rescue“ kits for you! They include all art supplies with easy step by step paint instructions from our very own professional artist, Erica Wolfsen. We added a Koru essential oil rollerball to the mix so you can engage all of your senses in a creative, fun, and safe, way this winter!
We will be doing contactless delivery 🚚 and will need the names of all who would like one of these great kits! They are PERFECT for the whole family!
We love and miss all of your sweet faces and CANNOT wait to safely reconnect with you!

We'd like to introduce a short-term fundraising opportunity to our supporters hosted by a beloved community mom, SaraRenee Van Rys. We're grateful for her help ...and would sure love your support!

Cards for a Cause through Usborne Books provides a beautiful case of all occasion or specific holiday cards for everyone to enjoy. Part of the cost covers the cards themselves, and the rest goes directly to Nurture in Nature!

As you know, we took some hits this year with the pandemic for fundraising, events, camp itself, and opportunities to be together. Our communities are stepping up to help in beautiful ways - and this is one more good thing we can all do together for the kids!

We love the notion of encouraging people to send more cards, notes, and letters to keep connected, too -- offline! There's no better time to get back to a really lovely way to keep in touch, with the intent of letting people you care about know you are thinking of them. Besides that... everyone loves getting fun mail!

If you have questions or would like to order a box of cards - please send us a message with your pre-orders here on our page! We'll send orders in at the end of the fundraiser and connect with you then with payment and pickup details.

We're stunned by the outpouring of love and support Sunday afternoon for our Good Cause Burger event benefitting Nurture in Nature! Throughout the long afternoon, we had beautiful community members coming in and out, campers and their families visit, minds blown away by magic, voices singing with joy, and phone calls and messages from supporters who couldn't make it but wanted to donate anyway. We raised over $1700 yesterday! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!

A huge shout out to magician James Knight who performed for the families, Jaimi Nicholas who led us in song out on the deck, Erica Wolfsen and her fun crafts, and Sara Jourdan selling NINC bracelets. And Wolverine. You were awesome!

We laughed, we played, we sang, we ate... and together we all pushed the organization closer to our camp funding goals. What a Great Day - and what a great support team we have! GRATEFUL HEARTS HERE! Thank you, again...

It's GOOD CAUSE BURGER DAY for Nurture in Nature Camp! Pirate Cove Restaurant - Lake Don Pedro set aside a few hours (2-6) for supporters to visit us and grab a fundraiser burger (or make a donation of choice) that helps send our kids to camp!

Our Halloween Fundraiser is happening Sunday 10/25 2-6! We're SO excited and hope you are, too. It's a great chance to purchase a Good Cause Burger, meet the NINC team, and meet some of our amazing kids, too!

We have a few special guests joining us, as well... performing magic, creating crafts, a costume contest, and a karaoke host for the kids!

All covid guidelines will be in place, too, for a safe and fun afternoon...
