💜 The Cole Foundation is Proud to Support “Harmonies for Hospice” 💜

We are honored to share this meaningful community event, with all proceeds benefiting UPMC Cole Home Health and Hospice patients.

This special evening was thoughtfully organized by Steve Ouelet, in loving memory of his wife, Deborah, after a long battle with cancer. Steve’s passion for this event comes from deep gratitude for the care Deborah received—and his heartfelt desire to ensure that other families have access to the same compassionate support without the added burden of financial stress.

This event is more than a concert—it’s a way for the community to come together, honor loved ones and support local patients and families during some of life’s most challenging moments.

❤️🤍💙UPMC Cole Honors Veterans ❤️🤍💙

Yesterday, UPMC Cole staff and patients gathered together for the 17th annual Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing parade, filling the parking lot with support and community spirit!

Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF) is dedicated to helping wounded, injured, and disabled military personnel. By teaching and rebuilding fly fishing and fly tying skills, PHWFF helps participants heal physically and emotionally while enjoying outdoor adventures and lifelong recreation.

This year, the event was dedicated to all "Bronze Star" Recipients. 12 disabled veteran guests - receiving care and rehabilitation at Pennsylvania Veteran Hospitals - were escorted through UPMC Cole's campus on their way to Moore's Run Fish and Game Preserve for the 5 day program.

What a wonderful afternoon at Cole Manor, part of our UPMC Senior Communities! We were thrilled to welcome approximately 80 community members to spend the day with us celebrating connection, gratitude, and community.

This special event was their way of saying thank you—for allowing them to be part of the lives of so many families and friends throughout the years. It was truly heartwarming to see so many familiar and new faces come together.

Residents, staff, and community members, enjoyed an afternoon filled with live entertainment by the Bean Band, yard games, sidewalk chalk fun, delicious food and beverages, and raffle baskets donated by local community members. One of the highlights of the day was our meaningful gardening activity, where community members helped spruce up the raised garden beds by planting vegetables and herbs for the residents to enjoy. Attendees also took home a small, planted pot as a keepsake—something to remember the day and help it continue to grow.

The Cole Foundation is incredibly grateful to be part of events like this, but even more importantly, to support a facility like Cole Manor that serves so many of our community members during times when they need it most. This is a wonderful place that provides care, comfort, and connection for individuals and their families.
