The Coudersport Area cemeteries will join Arlington National Cemetery and more than 1,400 participating locations across the country on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019. Save the Date!

Local volunteers will be working hard to ensure that all veterans laid to rest in Coudersport area cemeteries, from the Revolutionary War to the present, are honored this December on National Wreaths Across America Day. This year, the ceremony, held simultaneously across the country at more than 1400 locations, will be on Saturday, December 14, 2019. The goal: to place a live, balsam fir wreath at the headstone of every veteran buried there and spread patriotism and commemoration for the sacrifices they made for our country.

From now until November, volunteers will host various fundraisers to sponsor the 920 headstone wreaths needed to honor every veteran in our cemeteries. Each wreath sponsorship costs $15, with $5 going to a local fundraising group. These are the same wreaths that are laid at Arlington National Cemetery each December.
