We mark the solemn 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, remembering the lives lost, the heroes who rushed into danger, and the enduring strength of our shared humanity.
Remembering the Day

The Losses: We honor the nearly 3,000 innocent lives taken in New York City, at the Pentagon, and in the fields of Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

The First Responders: We remember the hundreds of firefighters, police officers, and paramedics who showed profound courage by running toward danger to save others.

The Everyday People: We reflect on the ordinary
citizens on the flights and in the towers who displayed extraordinary self-sacrifice and care for one another.

The Power of Community
Coming Together: In the immediate wake of the tragedy, divisions faded as strangers helped strangers.

Lasting Compassion: People lined up to donate blood and offered support, showing that kindness and resilience outlast grief.

Continuing Care: We also remember the ongoing struggles of survivors, rescue workers, and families dealing with health impacts and lasting sorrow.

Looking Forward
Passing the Torch: A full generation has now grown up without personal memories of that day. We carry the responsibility to teach young people the history with honesty, empathy, and respect.
A Shared Promise: "Never forget" is more than a phrase. It is a daily commitment to honor the victims, support their families, and choose compassion in our communities.
25 YEARS. WE WILL NEVER FORGET Today marks the 25th anniversary of this terrible Attack on America, again teach our children and our children's children we cannot let our children forget we were attacked and nearly 3000 people listening there lives.

Commander Nester delivered a solemn speech about the Attack on America on 9 - 11 - 2001 on the 25th Anniversar to the Officers and mmbers of VFW Post 7400 and VFW Auxiliary Post 7400. After the Flag Raising Ron Luce told a story that one of our former Officers had relayed to.him.

Today a solemn ceremony remembering the attack on America on 9 -11-2036 will be held at 11 am at VFW Post Home at 705 least Aspen. There will be donuts and coffee after the ceremony. We said we would not forget the 3000 and growing that were murdered that day. We are saluting those that gave their last efforts to safe those in the Twin Towers, Pentagon, and an open field in Pensylvania.

"Remember Everyone Deployed." Not a slogan, Remember when you were alone in a faraway country, on overwatch, making mossvement to contact, or walking guard between your vehicles. We wear red to let them know what they do from boring duty to combat action is important to our safety. Thank you, Army, Navy, Marine, Airmen, Coast Guard, and Space Force.

On Fridays, we wear red. A simple act with so much meaning.

Writte your Representatives in both houses and say "NO to 108." Retirement is earned as disability benefits.

Veterans’ benefits are not “use it or lose it” money.

VA’s 2022 proposal was never finalized. The VFW fought it then, and we oppose turning those proposed cuts into law now.
