The House of Ruth has been serving women and families in the Verde Valley. We are a 503c non-profit Christian ministry supported by the community and dedicated to serving pregnant women, their families and protecting the lives of unborn children. Our goal is to demonstrate the love of Christ in both word and deed. The trained staff provides every client with accurate information about pregnancy, f

etal development, abortion procedures and risks, lifestyle issues and related concerns. All services are free of charge and completely confidential. The name ‘Ruth’ means compassion, and the House of Ruth is a place where women in need can find information and support in a compassionate, confidential atmosphere. Currently the Center serves over 1,000 women and families a year.

Handmade Baby Blankets Available for Local Families & Organizations!

The Cottonwood Recreation Center has a limited number of beautiful, handmade baby blankets available for local families and organizations that support families in our community—at no cost!

These special blankets were lovingly crocheted by participants in our Senior Activities Program as part of our Celebrate America’s 250 community project. Together, our volunteers created more than 250 granny squares, which were carefully joined to create these unique, one-of-a-kind baby blankets.

If you have a newborn or are expecting, or if you are part of an organization that helps local families, please stop by the Cottonwood Recreation Center to pick up a blanket while supplies last. Blankets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated yarn, crocheted squares, assembled blankets, and supported this wonderful project. Your generosity has transformed hundreds of handmade stitches into gifts of warmth, comfort, and love for families in our community. ❤️
