We cannot thank everyone enough for sharing your stories and comments about black dogs. 🖤🐾 Your support means so much, especially as we worry about our puppies—now three months old—who are still searching for forever homes.
But our puppies are not the only black dogs waiting. We would also love to introduce a few very special members of the Saving Paws family:
🐾 Mickey is almost five years old and still waiting for his forever home. He was originally one of our Seven Dwarfs puppies—his name was Grumpy! 😡😂 His foster family later renamed him Mickey. He spent more than a year in a foster home and has spent the rest of his life with the rescue. We would love for someone to open their heart and home and finally give Mickey the chance he deserves. Mickey has gone through training program with Nine Line K9 academy.
🐾 Dozer and Tank were rescued from underneath a trailer when they were only one week old. They are now about one year and five months old and have been blessed with an incredible foster who has given them a loving home and worked hard on crate training, commands and leash skills—whenever it isn’t 110 degrees outside! 😂
Their mom is a German Shepherd, but these boys definitely got their dad’s looks. They are wonderful with people, older children and other dogs. Dozer is especially known for being a big lover! One of they foster renamed them, too—Dozer was Finn, and Tank was Kris. Apparently, our dogs enjoy a good name change! 😂
🐾 Blair is our very special girl. She loves people but would prefer not to share her space with other dogs. Blair had a litter of puppies at the shelter. After her puppies were taken from her, she was scheduled to be euthanized because she has seizures. Trish and our volunteers stepped in and have worked hard to give Blair a safe, happy life filled with love. She will always have a home with the Saving Paws family. Thankfully, no one has changed her name! ❤
If you are interested in meeting one of our puppies or dogs, becoming a foster or adopter, or learning more about our Love 4 Life or Senior to Senior programs, please let us know.
Every dog deserves to be seen. Every dog deserves a chance. And every dog deserves a family of their own. 🖤🐾
