Rotary District 5495 challenged all clubs to the Ton of Food Challenge during the week of July 13-17, 2026. We are pleased to announce that we donated 217 lbs of food to one of our local food banks in Cottonwood, AZ - New Hope Food Bank. Our club celebrated another fantastic year at our end of year celebration potluck. Our President, Dino Viotti is continuing for a second term and we are proud to announce that our President-Elect for 2027-29 is Jennifer Garrett. Thank you to all of our members for all of their hard work making our Club a success each year. We celebrated our Duck Race last year's record income of approx. $40,000, Youth Services continued to thrive with Prom/Homecoming Closet; College Scholarships; RYLA Scholarships for HS Students to attend leadership camp. We also celebrated our Service Above Self with Hwy 260 cleanup - 27 bags of trash picked up from our Adopt-A-Mile in Camp Verde and food packing at Manzanita Outreach along with the 3 Sedona Clubs. Thank you Tom Taylor for scheduling all of our speakers over the past year and continuing to keep us updated with community speakers. We are looking forward to this year's Duck Race on September 26 at Verde River Day. Photo includes the Rotary Club of the Verde Valley Members and the spouses who were able to attend. A Mingus HS Interactor, Rylan Mienke, has been chosen as a delegate to the "Crutches for Africa" Mexico delegation. They are now in the Mexico City region helping to repair and distribute mobility devices to local residents. This is just one way we support our local youth and Rotary service projects. We would like to congratulate all of the graduating seniors on their graduation...and announce the scholarship recipients from local high schools. The Rotary Club of the Verde Valley and the Fleishman Foundation is proud to award academic and vocational scholarships to 12 students this year.
