Subject: 2nd Annual "Local Lights, Holiday Nights"
Dear Local Business Owner,
After the tremendous success of last year's inaugural Local Lights, Holiday Nights, the Cottonwood Area Community Foundation is excited to invite you to participate in our 2nd Annual Local Lights, Holiday Nights Christmas celebration!
Thanks to the support of our local businesses, organizations, volunteers, and community members, last year's event brought families together to celebrate the holiday season and created a wonderful tradition for Cottonwood. This year, we'd like to make the event even bigger and better, and we hope every business in our community will join us in helping make it a memorable evening.
The event will take place on Monday, November 30, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The evening will once again feature a community meal, visits and photos with Santa, and other family-friendly activities. The Residential Christmas Lights Contest will also return, giving everyone another opportunity to showcase their holiday spirit.
One of the highlights of the event is seeing our local businesses come alive with festive activities. Whether you're able to host a simple holiday treat or a larger attraction, every business has something unique to offer. Some ideas include:
• Hot c***r, cocoa, and holiday treats
• Sleigh or carriage rides
• Visits from Santa's elves, the Grinch, or other holiday characters
• Candy cane hunts
• Bonfires with s'mores
• Children's craft stations
• Food shelf donation drives
• Live Christmas caroling or musical performances
• Story time featuring The Night Before Christmas
• Ham or turkey giveaways
• Holiday games, raffles, or customer appreciation events
These are just ideas—be creative! We encourage each business to showcase its own personality and holiday spirit. Every participating business helps create a festive atmosphere that encourages families to explore our community, support local businesses, and enjoy everything Cottonwood has to offer.
Whether your business is large or small, we sincerely hope you'll join us. The more businesses that participate, the stronger this event becomes; helping us build a holiday tradition that our community looks forward to year after year.
