That's My Kitty We are a newly formed 501.c3 (2025) Animal Rescue & Sanctuary in Cottonwood Shores, Texas.

☀️ Help Us Beat the Texas Heat ☀️

We’re making excellent progress on our new kittenry at That’s My Kitty Animal Rescue & Sanctuary, but we’ve hit one major hurdle: air conditioning.

Anyone who lives in Texas knows how brutal summer can be (and winter likes to keep us guessing, too!). While we’re working steadily on construction and outfitting the inside, the kittenry needs a reliable way to stay cool, safe, and comfortable for the kittens in our care.

We’ve chosen a mini split system that will heat and cool the space year-round, and it’s the next big item standing between us and a finished kitten nursery.

🎯 Mini Split Goal: $424 (+ tax & delivery)

We didn’t launch a fundraiser for the building itself. When kitten season exploded and we realized we needed a separate space for kittens, nursing moms, medical cases, and quieter cats, we made the decision to move forward and take on that expense ourselves.

The building is already here. Construction is underway. We’re committed to making it happen.

The mini split is simply the next hurdle, and we’re hoping our community might help us get over this one.

The good news? Installation won’t cost us a dime. TMK Co-Founder Hilary Leeds’ husband, Jeramy Leeds, has over 20 years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician and will be donating all of the labor himself. What a guy! 😊🐱❤️

We’re not asking for luxury—we’re asking for a safe, temperature-controlled environment for bottle babies, recovering kittens, medical cases, and the many little lives that come through our doors during kitten season. Air conditioning isn’t a want in Texas—it’s a necessity.

Kittenry Update!

We have been hard at work outfitting the new building for mama cats, kittens and a few other lucky kitties who prefer a little more toned down environment than our cattery has to offer sometimes!

We plan on opening up to volunteers and visitors (with appointments) when everything is finished!

We also still need help paying for the Kittenry loan and all of the building materials plus items for the inside!

We need desperately need a stainless steel table for weighing, assessing and doing anything medical.

We also need items, such as:

Incubators of all kinds
Fence panels with small squares for kitten runs
Large kennels/cages for pregnant and nursing mamas
Kitten toys, hammocks, treats
Wet food, kitten food, formula!
Miracle ni***es for feeding newborns without mamas or who need extra assistance
We always need cleaning supplies and linens, as well
New brooms, mop, trash cans and supplies for the inside that are fresh for the fragile and immune compromised
Beds/cubbies for hiding holes for nervous mamas
Syringes of all sizes
Puppy pads! Lots of puppy pads
Jarred baby food (Meat only- Ge**er and Beechnut preferred)

We have an Amazon list and so many ways that you can help out! There are so many ways outside of financial assistance! If anything, please share our posts and spread the word about our adorable kittens and mash up of cats with such unique personalities!

Jacks favorite hobby is climbing humans… Morticia enjoys supervising poor decisions..

One teeny, tiny mountaineer and one quality control manager.. looking like they’re playing “The Floor is Lava” and my boot is prime real estate!

Both of these guys are up for adoption! Jack got his name because he climbs me from foot to shoulder (Jack and the beanstalk) and Morticia hails from the deep, Deep South and would make a fantastic executive director of a forever home!

Reach out to meet both of them! They have their own sweet quirks and personalities just waiting to come out and shine!

Jack is always ready for an adventure! In fact, he demands them daily! This little pint sized purse dweller brings all the excitement you need in your life in the form of spontaneous decisions!

If you’re interested in meeting any of our lovely kitties, please fill out an application and schedule an appointment! We will also have some awesome volunteer opportunities in our brand new kittenry (we are still fundraising for to help offset the expenses of the loan! We desperately needed more space!)! We are welcoming our newest little introvert into the TMK family!

Arriving solo, this shy sweetheart decided that the nearest drawer was a perfectly reasonable place to live and who are we to disagree? Once the welcoming committee prove they’re friends and not co-workers that want to make awkward small talk at the water bowl… everything will fall into place!

Reminder: Don’t forget about our new kittenry that we are working hard to outfit so we can open it up to more mamas and babies! If you have any building materials or appliances you are willing to part with, please reach out. We have posted a list of things we need but we appreciate anything! Keep the donations coming, we desperately need dry food (and always need wet food!)

She’s has some mighty hefty demands for someone with such small paws..🐾 The Torti-tude is strong with this one! But you know you can’t cage this level of fabulous… she knows it, too!

As you can see, she’s enjoying all the delicious donated food! We are so grateful as food is one of our largest expenses right now! Every little bit helps immensely!

This tiny menace is maybe a week old and already has two speeds: asleep and full-send.

She puts herself into 4-wheel drive, scales anything she can find and screams the entire time like she's tackling Mount Everest instead of crossing the living room. Mind you, she can't even see where she's going yet.

She's permanently hungry, wildly impatient, and absolutely convinced every obstacle was put there specifically for her to conquer.

If this is any preview of her future personality, her forever family should probably buckle up now. This one's not a kitten—she's an adventure with fur.

When you adopt her, you’re adopting a lifestyle! ❤️❤️

She also sends many, many thanks (in one long scream) for all of the goodies! The donations have been extremely helpful and generally get opened and used immediately! Right now we really need hard kitten food and of course keep the wet food coming! We also always need linens!
