Our Adult Tennis 101 Program is perfect for Adults who are new to tennis, or returning after an absence.
Each six week program includes interactive activities plus fun games so you can build your skills.

VOTING IS NOW LIVE! Vote for your favorite design for our 2026 League Sectional Championship T-shirt! Voting will close at 11:59pm on March 30th, 2026. The system will allow 1 vote per IP address. We can't wait to see what design will be chosen!

🎾🏆Awards Week continues!🏆🎾 Our award recipients bring growth, excellence and joy to our Utah tennis community!

Captain of the Year
is presented to Michael Isaza. Michael is an exceptional individual and player. Michael has quickly emerged as a leader and organizer, making many friends and becoming very involved with our Utah Tennis Community. Michael displays great sportsmanship on the court along with an ability to mentor new players grow our sport.

Captain of the Year
is presented to Olivia Moreton. Olivia has been captaining at the 2.5 & 3.0 level for many years. Her teams are named FUN because that is what she emphasizes most as a captain. Olivia takes the pressure off her team by assuring them that her team is a place of learning. Olivia includes all that want to play and facilitates a space of generosity and kindness.

Growing the Game Award
is presented to Keaton Bennett. Keaton has strengthened and expanded the Utah tennis community through his leadership of the Orem Social Tennis Club and his dedicated coaching. Now dozens of people meet every Saturday to hit together and play matches. Keaton has made it easy to connect with other players in Utah County, and has brought so many new people into our sport.

Family of the Year
is presented to The White Family. Mike White has been running the Mike White Tennis Academy in Bloomington for several years with the help of his family. The Whites have been deeply involved in growing tennis in the Salt Lake area and more recently in St George. All 4 children play tennis competitively.

Diversity and Inclusion Award
is presented to Shannon and Andrea Rich. The Rich’s have spearheaded Utah Tennis Association’s participation in the Pride Parade since 2022. Shannon and Andi are wonderful ambassadors for tennis, bringing a unifying element to our community and joy to our sport.

The Linda Vincent Community Service Award
is presented to Camille Jeppson & John Mickelson from Green Canyon High School. Camille and John have led a very successful Green Canyon tennis program and have won 5 state championships (4 boys, 1 girls). Camille and John realize the potential of their student athletes and motivate them to compete with high standards. They are teaching and giving life lessons through the wonderful sport of tennis.

🎾🏆Utah juniors are EPIC!! Congratulations to all our 2025 Junior athletes!!

AWARD RECIPIENTS

Janet M Dowse Award & Scholarship
is presented to Anna Frey. Anna is one of Utah’s most accomplished junior players and has already been competing at the professional level. As a junior, Anna achieved top national results and was ranked among the top players in her age division. Anna is committed to continue her development at the University of North Carolina while pursuing long term professional goals.

Janet M Dowse Award & Scholarship
is presented to Calvin Armstrong. Calvin is one of the top junior and high school players in Utah, finishing the season ranked No.1 in the state in both singles and doubles. He captured the 6A First Singles state championship with a 20-1 record and was named Deseret News Mr Tennis. A four star recruit, Calvin is committed to play collegiate tennis at the University of Utah.

Ruby Hammel Outstanding Female High School Athlete Award
is presented to Soo-Ah Byun. As a freshman, Soo-Ah was the state champion for Highland High School at the 4A level winning her first three rounds 6-0,6-0. Her results are an indication of all the hard work she has put into her game. Soo-Ah is an admirable competitor and has a bright future.

Lee Hammel Outstanding Male High School Athlete Award is presented to Braeden Johnson. Braeden led American Fork High School to the 2025 6A State Championship, defeating the defending champion in the final. He went undefeated over two seasons of high school tennis and was named the 2025 Deseret News Mr. Tennis.

Outstanding Male High School Team
is presented to Timpview High School. Timpview had a thrilling win over Highland in the 5A State Championship with a score of 54-52. Timpview won the #3 singles and both doubles lines in the State Championships.

Kathy Rothfels and Luceen Sullivan Outstanding Female High School Team
is presented to Woods Cross High School. Woods Cross had 70 points at State compared to the 2nd place team with 37 points. They dominated their events, winning 3 of the 5 lines and the finalists for the other 2 lines.

Award Recipients

The David L Freed Award
is presented to Pati Adamson of ACE Athletics
Pati has been teaching tennis to adults and juniors for years. The number of lives she has touched is enormous, all due to her love and dedication for tennis.

Developmental Coach of the Year
is presented to Caleb Camp of Red Ledges. Caleb is the rare coach who builds from the inside out. He has a gift for reading people- mentoring juniors,supporting league players and treating everyone like they belong at the highest level.

The Mary Lou Sportsmanship Award
is presented to JJ Amaya. JJ consistently includes and supports the people and players around him. He respects his opponents, acknowledges good play, and is community focused. Matches with JJ are positive, enjoyable and respectful.

Volunteer of the Year
is presented to Tim Roelofs of Cedar City. Tim is an ambassador for tennis and is responsible for much of the growth of tennis in his area. Tim is always on the courts teaching, encouraging players and supporting the community.

Organization of the Year
is presented to ACE Athletics. Ace is a beautiful new facility in Farmington and has expanded to 6 indoor courts. Constantly running junior and adult programs, ACE has been a welcome addition to our tennis community.
