We are very excited for the upcoming virtual bingo event this Friday @ 7:00PM! THIS IS A FREE EVENT. We have Kenyan made jewelry, cookbooks, and a brand new instapot for bingo winners. We also will have lots of Kenyan art up for silent auction items.

What a wild year 2020 has been. We are hoping that it is coming to a safe and joyful ending for you all. We are extremely grateful for all the love and support we have received throughout this year. Our operation took a bit of a change but the work never stopped!
Some of the completed projects this year were:
- 1 10,000 liter rainwater catchment for Oltanki Primary.
- 50 desks for Ole Sidai Pre-School.
- 6 pit latrines for Olmunanda Primary School.
- 2 classrooms finished with new floors, walls, book shelves, windows, doors, and electrical wiring for Enkusero Primary School.
One project we all are very proud of is the completion of a new permanent classroom for Lerai Primary School. This was possible through a partnership with the local Kenyan community and government.
All projects are completed in collaboration with the local Kenyan community and all supplies and labor are purchased within Kenya to provide much needed economic assistance.
But our work is far from over!
We still have many projects that have been requested:
- School Desks
- Rainwater Catchments
- Pit Latrines
With your support, OFDC and the local Kenyan community will be able to continue our mission to Empower Women, Educate Children, and Enhance Health for All.

Its that time of the year again. We are extremely grateful for all the love and support that comes to Opportunity Fund for Developing Countries - OFDC during this year. It is truly incredible to have the support of such a loving community that unites under one mission. Empower Women, Educate Children, and Enhance Health for All. If you are able to, please consider making a donation to support our mission and help bring about real change to the lives of so many who greatly need it.

One project we'd like to highlight that was recently completed is the new classroom that was constructed for Lerai Primary School. This classroom will enhance the quality of education the children of Lerai receive and will greatly assist during this pandemic as there is a great need to distance students from each other. This project was completed with the support of you all and the local Kenyan community. We want to extend a big Asante Sana (Thank You) to all those that made this happen.

2020 has been quite the year for us all. Amongst all of the chaos, OFDC has had some amazing success at completing a few projects. One 10,000 liter water tank for Oltanki Primary School, 50 desks for Ole Sidai Pre-School, 6 pit latrines for Olmunanda Primary school, and a new classroom for Lerai Primary school are our completed projects. Our current and on-going project includes the completion of two un-finished classrooms at Enkusero Primary school.

Happy Mother's day everyone! Today we celebrate and send appreciation to all of the selfless and hardworking mothers around the world. OFDC's mission of Empowering Women & Communities helps greatly improve the lives of mothers in rural Kenya. Many women we work with became mothers at a very young age. They were never given the opportunity to further their education. We are grateful to all those who have already contributed, and we hope others will consider making a donation in their mother's name to help support out mission.

Searching for the last minute gift for Mother’s Day? Consider making a donation in their name to OFDC to empower mothers in rural Kenya. Your support will go towards training seminars where community groups composed of mostly women are taught best practices in agriculture, small business, and health. Hey everyone! We hope you are all doing well during these complicated times. This pandemic the whole planet is experiencing has affected us all, including the work we’ve been doing in Kenya. We are so grateful for all of the support from our volunteers and donors that help to keep OFDC going. We will continue to update you on the projects that have recently been completed as well as the work we are still able to do at this time.
