Twenty-five years have passed, but we will never forget. Today, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the firefighters, police officers, first responders, service members, and everyday heroes who ran toward danger when others were running away. We remember the families who were forever changed, the brave men and women who answered the call to serve in the years that followed, and the incredible strength our nation showed in one of its darkest hours.
On that day, America was wounded-but our spirit was not broken. We stood together as neighbors, communities, and one nation. May we never forget the lives lost, sacrifices made, the heroes who emerged, and the unity that reminded us of what it means to be an American.
As the Cotter Bridge shines in remembrance, may its lights serve as a symbol of honor for those we lost, gratitude for those who served, and hope for generations to come. 25 years later, we remember. We honor. We stand united.
