Community Educational Outreach Service

The Community Educational Outreach Service (CEOS) is really quite young. But the organization in West Virginia goes back nearly 90 years to the Farm Women's Clubs started in 1914.These clubs were organized primarily because the members were interested in new ideas that would help them as homemakers. The first clubs were composed almost entirely of farm wome

n: hence the name Farm Woman's Clubs.As the state's population changed and farm families began to work with families un towns and cities, they found they had many common interests. The mission of the West Virginia Community Educational Outreach Service is to strenthen individuals and families through: Continuing Education, Leadership Development, Community Involvement for the betterment of all.

Class will be at Charlene Kellys shop (off Charleston Dr. Ripley) Supplies needed, Mesh (we have at the quilt shop for $7.00) 1/2 yard of print and plain fabric, strapping material (also available at shop), binding tape. Sewing machine and sewing supplies. We do have one sewing machine at the shop if needed. Cost of class is $10. I hope you can come.

2022 Jackson Co. CEOS quilt show will be April 8 and 9th. This years theme will be flowers. Make a quilt using all flower material. or make one with flowers in it, any technique can be used. Please pass this on (share) with your quilting friends. This show is open to WV residents.
