ACM India MN

ACM India MN ACM India Minnesota is a non-profit organization committed to uplifting the underserved communities of Tamil Nadu in southern India.

Our ministry engages with underprivileged groups to transform and empower individuals and communities. ACM India MN was created to help support and provide resources for Agape Christian Mission in Tamil Nadu, India. In early 2014, Natalie Rowley, a young woman from Minnesota, felt a call on her heart to go and serve the children and people of India. When researching non-profit organizations she ca

me upon the website for Agape Christian Mission. She contacted Rajan, the director of the mission, who told her he would be visiting the United States in the spring and would be speaking at a church in Minnesota. This church turned out to be 10 miles from Natalie's home. Natalie, along with her parents, David and Cheryl Rowley, went to hear Rajan speak and meet with him about the possibility of Natalie serving at ACM. The seed was planted that spring day in 2014. That year, Natalie was able to go spend time with Rajan and his wife Helen, meeting the children they minister to and witnessing all that God is doing through these two amazing people. Since then, Natalie and her husband, Dave, had the opportunity to live and serve alongside Rajan and Helen. Teaching english, feeding the poor, praying for the sick and loving the precious children of Champion Home. Natalie's parents and sister were able to visit in the winter of 2016. The love and passion Dave and Natalie have for ACM has now extended to her whole family. Out of those seeds of love, ACM India MN was created. Our hope is to share the work that Rajan and Helen are so faithfully doing, as well as, come along side them with prayer, support and help provide them with resources to continue their mission to serve the children and people of India. Here is some more information about the ministries of ACM

Champion Home: Home to more than 80, orphaned and semi orphaned children. Here some of India's most vulnerable children are loved, cared for and provided an education. Champion School: A school reaching out to the children of the local villages around Champion Home. Living Water Wells: We build fresh water wells in the rural and hill regions to meet a pressing need for clean water. Southern India is a largely agricultural society and is dependent on fresh water sources. Planting fresh water wells in strategic locations helps build bridges for our outreach efforts. Rural Development: We desire to assist rural areas in becoming more financially divergent. Most of these rural areas are dependent upon agriculture for their daily subsistence. During periods of drought, which is a regular occurrence in this area of southern India, families and communities can struggle with daily survival. Women's Ministry: We seek to empower women in our areas of influence by offering occasional skills training and fellowship gatherings. Leper's Ministry: We seek to share the love of Jesus Christ with lepers by sharing the Gospel with them, but also by meeting their physical needs through feeding programs and the distribution of clothes, blankets, and other hygienic items as funds permit.

Relationships Make a Difference 💛

We’re incredibly grateful for one of our most loyal supporters, who recently helped connect ACM with their church’s Missions Staff—resulting in a generous gift that’s already making a real impact!

Thanks to this support:
🏠 A much-needed Dining Hall is now under construction at Champion Home, giving our kids a clean and welcoming place to eat together.
🐐🐓 An enclosed area for goats and chickens is also underway—moving us one step closer to our goal of greater self-sustainability.

These kinds of partnerships fuel everything we do. To all our like-minded friends who pray, give, and advocate alongside us—thank you. Your support is a huge encouragement to our team and children in India!

The following photos show the temporary structure built for Mythili's mother while the soil settled, preparing the ground for a permanent home also shown. What you might not notice right away is how breathtaking the location is—the highest point on the edge of the village offers stunning views of the valley below and the mountains in the distance.

Beyond the house, we’ve also committed to providing a monthly stipend to supplement the work Mythili’s mother is able to find, which earns her just $2 USD a day. Thanks to this support, she can now meet her daily needs, and her gratitude is a testament to the power of giving.

A heartfelt thank you to all our donors who generously give and pray for ACM projects like these. Your kindness and faith are transforming lives and creating hope where it’s needed most.

God bless you all!

Village Outreach Update: Transforming Lives, One Family at a Time

We’re thrilled to share an update on our outreach efforts to the villages where some of our Champion Home children come from. One of these children, Mythili, has an inspiring story.

During our first visit to her village, we met her mother, a kind and gracious woman who welcomed us into her tarp-covered home. This house, which became hers after her husband’s tragic passing in an industrial accident, bore witness to the challenges her family faced.

Moved by their story, ACM felt compelled to make a difference. With Rajan’s help, we began negotiations with the village elders, who generously allocated a lot for a new home. Though the site required extensive excavation, we saw this as an opportunity to transform not just a piece of land but the life of an entire family.

Stay tuned for the next part of this journey as we work toward making this dream a reality!

Exciting News from ACM!

Last year, we embarked on a new sustainable resource development project—a Tailoring Operation designed to empower local women by providing them with trade skills and improved job opportunities.

With the support of Firm Foundations Partners, we:
✅ Purchased equipment and set up a fully functional tailoring shop at Champion Home.
✅ Provided additional equipment to the church in Kaldaryan Hills.
✅ Produced clothing for the children in our care, reducing the need for external purchases and promoting self-sufficiency.

Over the past year, this initiative has not only equipped women with valuable skills but has also supported our mission to create long-term solutions for community development.

And the best part? We’re just getting started! Stay tuned for an exciting announcement about the expansion of this opportunity—you won’t want to miss it!

At ACM we’re transforming our vision of sustainability into reality by using the resources we already have to create lasting change.

One example is our investment in using our land to produce food for the children at Champion Home. With nearly two of our three acres dedicated to agriculture, we’re replacing the rice, fruits, dairy, and protein we used to purchase.

To make this possible, we’ve expanded our well system, ensuring a more reliable source of water for our crops and livestock. This step not only meets the immediate needs of the children but also builds a self-sustaining future.

By working the land and embracing innovative solutions, we’re creating more than just food—we’re cultivating hope and independence.

3 # - Benevolent Support for Our Many Friends in India

Today's update chronicles the incredible journey of this resilient family over the past two years.

The first picture captures their living conditions when we first met them, which spoke volumes about the hardships they faced. The second photo was taken in 2023, showing the mother and her three daughters in front of the dwelling ACM constructed using funds donated by our supporters interested in the Benevolent ministry . As a reminder, the mother is a widow, and two of her children have found a safe haven at the Champion Home, where we care for orphaned children.

Over the past year, we've been honored to provide this family with a steady monthly income, ensuring their basic needs are met. We also worked to secure a brighter future for them by purchasing a plot of land in their village. On this land, we initially constructed a temporary structure to give them stability while laying the groundwork for their permanent home.

The second picture, taken last year, marks a turning point: the moment they moved onto the new property. It has been a year of hope, progress, and preparation, and now we are thrilled to be approaching the final stages of constructing their permanent home.

This journey would not have been possible without your support, prayers, and encouragement. Together, we are making a lasting difference in the lives of families like this one.

Stay tuned for more updates as we complete the construction and celebrate this family's new beginning!

Several of our supporters are deeply moved by the benevolent work ACM carries out in the surrounding villages and the city of Salem. One of these impactful outreaches focuses on a community affected by leprosy.

Imagine being considered untouchable and, by extension, unlovable. It’s a heartbreaking reality for many in this community. Yet, through regular care and expressions of love, we strive to remind them of their inherent worth and dignity.

The smiles and heartfelt gratitude we receive from them make every effort worthwhile, reaffirming the importance of this work.

#2 Our Outreach to the Surrounding Villages
Through our Kalrayan Hills location, we are extending love and care to children in neighboring villages. A portion of the ACM budget supports this initiative, enabling us to provide small, practical gifts during daycare programs.

Puppet shows have been a favorite among the children, offering a fun and engaging way to share the Gospel message of God’s love.

Our church has also become a welcoming space for villagers to visit, sparking curiosity about who we are and why we care. This growing connection inspires us to continue building relationships and sharing Christ’s love with our community.
