Our ministry engages with underprivileged groups to transform and empower individuals and communities. ACM India MN was created to help support and provide resources for Agape Christian Mission in Tamil Nadu, India. In early 2014, Natalie Rowley, a young woman from Minnesota, felt a call on her heart to go and serve the children and people of India. When researching non-profit organizations she ca
me upon the website for Agape Christian Mission. She contacted Rajan, the director of the mission, who told her he would be visiting the United States in the spring and would be speaking at a church in Minnesota. This church turned out to be 10 miles from Natalie's home. Natalie, along with her parents, David and Cheryl Rowley, went to hear Rajan speak and meet with him about the possibility of Natalie serving at ACM. The seed was planted that spring day in 2014. That year, Natalie was able to go spend time with Rajan and his wife Helen, meeting the children they minister to and witnessing all that God is doing through these two amazing people. Since then, Natalie and her husband, Dave, had the opportunity to live and serve alongside Rajan and Helen. Teaching english, feeding the poor, praying for the sick and loving the precious children of Champion Home. Natalie's parents and sister were able to visit in the winter of 2016. The love and passion Dave and Natalie have for ACM has now extended to her whole family. Out of those seeds of love, ACM India MN was created. Our hope is to share the work that Rajan and Helen are so faithfully doing, as well as, come along side them with prayer, support and help provide them with resources to continue their mission to serve the children and people of India. Here is some more information about the ministries of ACM
Champion Home: Home to more than 80, orphaned and semi orphaned children. Here some of India's most vulnerable children are loved, cared for and provided an education. Champion School: A school reaching out to the children of the local villages around Champion Home. Living Water Wells: We build fresh water wells in the rural and hill regions to meet a pressing need for clean water. Southern India is a largely agricultural society and is dependent on fresh water sources. Planting fresh water wells in strategic locations helps build bridges for our outreach efforts. Rural Development: We desire to assist rural areas in becoming more financially divergent. Most of these rural areas are dependent upon agriculture for their daily subsistence. During periods of drought, which is a regular occurrence in this area of southern India, families and communities can struggle with daily survival. Women's Ministry: We seek to empower women in our areas of influence by offering occasional skills training and fellowship gatherings. Leper's Ministry: We seek to share the love of Jesus Christ with lepers by sharing the Gospel with them, but also by meeting their physical needs through feeding programs and the distribution of clothes, blankets, and other hygienic items as funds permit.
