To all my friends who play Pickleball and to all my friends who have known and loved Ryan, and to all my friends who have a Traumatic Brain Injury loved one-

Please consider coming out to play Pickleball at this fun event raising money for Ryan’s Reach.

Does this cost a little more than other tournaments? A little more, but we are working hard to make it such a fun event it won’t hurt a bit 😊 and it will do a lot of good for TBI survivors👍🏼

If you decide to play, you should sign up by Monday and get the earlybird discount!!

If you don’t play, but you have a TBI loved one why don’t you pay for the registration of someone you know that DOES play and they play on behalf of your loved one. Great idea, right?

My friends know I’ve been walking around with my hand out for 20 years, which isn’t comfortable for anyone, but when you know the difference you can make it really isn’t hard at all. Ryan’s living with a TBI and we are loving him through it but thankfully His Needs Are Met🙏🏻😊Money raised is for others who have much greater financial need!

Love you and hope to see you at The Big Dill!!

PLEASE SHARE😀

Had to post part of Ryan’s therapy today. So impressive how he can grab that ball out of the air. The hard work was passing it to his left hand and his left hand putting it in the hoop. The other thing you can’t see is that there is a new male therapist in the garage throwing Ryan the ball and Ryan was able to work with him fairly well considering he doesn’t know him and this is just the second time Ryan has met him. We mostly have female therapists because Ryan goes into fight or flight when there’s an unfamiliar male near him. This is really good progress. 💖
Never give up!

I have a new friend. Cristabelle Braden. She is a TBI survivor and has a fantastic website cristabellebraden.com. After her TBI as a teenager, she started writing music. She’s an award-winning, singer, songwriter and strong advocate for TBI survivors. She has a podcast, called Hope Survives and I was a guest on it a couple of weeks ago. I can’t say enough about her talent and amazing heart. Here’s a little bit of our conversation, but I hope you’ll go to her podcast and watch the whole thing.💖

For those of you who are currently going through the earlier stages of a traumatic brain injury journey I want to share this episode of our podcast TBI Talk. We’ve only just started doing these, but since there’s a lot of activity around the song, Wordlayer, I wanted to have my sisters on and talk about their perspective when Ryan had his accident and the years that followed. I think their vantage point of being extended family doesn’t get talked about much but I gained so much support and wisdom from them that I just want to share it. If this episode helps you please share it with others.

In this episode Lindy has a transparent and emotional conversation with her three sisters around the subject of the “extended family” around the brain injury...
