Temp foster needed-5 days-Sunday to Thursday

Who can open up their home for sweet Pepper? He's a good boy with some slightly wonky back legs, but he still gets around and loves chilling with people. He's dog and kid friendly and he'd love a temporary spot while his current foster goes out of town. If you can open up your home to this sweet boy please let us know. He'll really appreciate it and so will we, he doesn't want to go to boarding 😢.

This gorgeous girl is the calm, sweet one you've been waiting for! Meet Tammy. She's a smooshy face, mature girl that just wants to snuggle with (and tear up) a Lambchop😂. She's potty trained, crate trained, good on leash, and just a chill soul. 🐾 Did you know there are nearly 25 million people living in Southern California? 🌴

​Yet, right now, R&R Boxer Rescue has many incredible dogs who desperately need a temporary place to call home—and we are struggling to find them.

​Fostering isn't just about saving a dog’s life (though it absolutely does!). It’s also one of the most beautiful, real-world lessons you can teach your children.

​Let's be honest: not every dog is "perfect" right out of the gate. Some need a little extra patience, a bit of extra help, and a lot of love to realize they are safe. Opening your home to a rescue dog shows your kids what empathy, resilience, and unconditional love look like in action. It teaches them how to care for something vulnerable and gives them the proud reward of helping a dog transition to their forever home.

While today we are are very thankful for all of our military and public servants we are very sad that there are so many dogs needing help and nobody stepping up to help them. We get messages, texts, and tags 24/7 about sick dogs, euth listed dogs, and injured dogs, and we and our friends at Northwest Boxer Rescue try to help them all, but with nobody helping us help these dogs, we cannot take in any more. We have dogs in boarding, we have dogs that nobody will take because they need to get into the vet, we have puppies, we have so many dogs and everyone just says "I wish I could but ...." So now we're going to say "we wish we could", and we are going to have no choice but to let them die at the shelters because nobody is helping us help them. Everyone is on vacation, living their best lives while we're sick, overwhelmed, overworked, and left to scramble to help the dogs. It's not sustainable. If anyone in Southern California can help a dog without asking 100 questions and needing a perfect dog, please let us know, but until we find spots for existing dogs we are not taking any others.

We're getting desperate, please share, his current foster has to go out of town tomorrow morning🙏

Benny is still waiting for someone to give him a safe place to recover from surgery for his dislocated hip. He's been in a ton of pain for over 10 days and we can't schedule surgery without a place for him to go afterwards. 😭 He's about 4 years old, pretty chill and sweet and good with other dogs. He's also absolutely gorgeous! If you are in Southern California and can help this boy for about 6 weeks please let us know, his foster can adopt him once he's all healed up. All medical expenses and anything else he needs will be provided by the rescue. Fostering is such a wonderful experience, and Benny will love you forever🤎.

Benny has a painful dislocated hip, likely from being hit by a car😭. He is safe with our friends at Northwest Boxer Rescue but we need a SoCal foster to give him a soft bed and love while he has surgery and recovers. All medical expenses are covered by the rescue. We need a home with no stairs, or where he can be kept comfy with some humans downstairs. He'll need at least a 6 week commitment and once he's all healed up he'll be available for adoption, with his foster getting "dibs" on keeping this sweet boy. We don't know much about him yet except that he's a big boy, about 4 years old and very sweet despite being in pain😢. If you can help please comment, and if you can't, please share, he needs a spot today🙏.

We know it's a holiday weekend but the dogs don't stop coming. We and our friends at Northwest Boxer Rescue are urgently looking for fosters or forever homes for all of these babies. They are all in Southern California. We'll put their gender and age and whatever we know about them in the comments under each photo, but they are all under 5 and dog friendly. The first one is a gorgeous big boy and he's our most urgent. He's in Apple Valley and has a dislocated hip. He needs surgery and a soft landing spot while he heals. If you're anywhere near Apple Valley and think you could be his soft spot, please reach out ASAP.

Meet Kanga — the kind of dog people wait a lifetime to find.

She’s about 3 years old, housebroken, polite, gentle and so genuinely good. No drama, no chaos — just a sweet, grateful little girl.

Kanga comes when called, loves an easy morning sniff walk and takes cuddling very seriously. She purrs like a kitten when you pet her and her tail never stops wagging.

Heaven has gained another angel tonight. Many of you might not know Capone's story but we took him in as an owner surrender as a "healthy" older gentleman but his first vet visit told us otherwise. His kidney values were insane and he was in kidney failure 😭. He was fostered by our founder, the infamous Heather. She's been known to be an expert at giving sub q fluids so she jumped in and said yes to this boy, and we're sure that it was her dedication and love that carried him this long. He was a part of her family and quite the spry boy for as sick as he was. If love could have kept him alive he would definitely still be with us, but he will remain in our hearts forever. Please light a candle for our sweet Capone tonight and send love to Heather at this difficult time💔🌈
