We are incredibly grateful to Jaime and the team at Don Churros Gomez for their generosity in treating the women of New Directions for Women to some absolutely delicious churros!
The girls loved getting out of their usual routine and enjoying such a special treat together. From the warm hospitality to the spectacular menu, every bite was amazing. It may seem like a small gesture, but experiences like these bring joy, connection, and a sense of community to the women we serve.
What makes Don Churros even more special is its rich history. The Gomez family’s churro recipe dates back more than 50 years to Yahualica, Jalisco, Mexico, where their grandparents first began making churros in 1969. They brought that generations-old family recipe to Orange County and have continued sharing their authentic, handcrafted churros with the community ever since.
If you’re in Orange County, do yourself a favor and stop by Don Churros! Whether you’re craving a sweet treat, looking for a unique dessert spot, or wanting to support a wonderful local family-owned business, it’s a must-visit.
