April is Alcohol Awareness Month 🤍

For many women, alcohol is not just a habit. It can be intertwined with trauma, survival, and coping in ways that are not always visible. At our shelter, we meet women where they are, without judgment, offering safety, support, and a path forward.

• Women are more likely than men to experience certain health impacts from alcohol, even at lower levels of use
• Alcohol misuse is often linked with domestic violence and emotional trauma
• Many women delay seeking help due to stigma, fear, or lack of resources

I have been volunteering since July of 2024.

I volunteer at Lynn House because | love supporting the women and walking through recovery with them, hand in hand. Volunteering is truly a bright spot in my life and I appreciate being able to give back to the house that helped me rebuild my life.
