What’s the real impact of our Sober Living Scholarship program?

To find out, we surveyed our scholarship alumni and learned it’s more than just financial support.

By helping cover the cost of rent, people feel renewed hope, improved mental/emotional wellness, and higher self-esteem.

Those benefits empower recipients to gain new skills, certifications, education, and find steady employment.

All of that is creating a force for good, as recipients go on to support others in recovery.

This program’s impact goes beyond dollars given or scholarships awarded. Its success is seen through growth achieved, lives changed, and support reaching far beyond one person.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, your involvement and generosity are what make all this possible.

We kicked off our Recovery In Action volunteer initiative over the weekend at Second Harvest Food Bank!

Through Recovery In Action, we’re supporting a variety of causes beyond our own. On Saturday, our group helped sort and pack over 2,000 lbs of food for those in need across local communities.

Sobriety has given us so much. Our goal is to pay that forward in different ways each month.

We’re currently planning the volunteer day for March. To keep up as new dates are announced, follow us here or sign up for alerts on our events page.

Some heroes wear clocks instead of capes.

“On November 26, the rapper, 65, posted a message on X, making sure that people keep in mind their loved ones who are sober.”

Post: “Note for the upcoming holiday season, some of us are on a sobriety journey and mocktails or non-alcoholic beer options make a big difference.”

In October, Flav celebrated 4 years of sobriety.

While it’s certainly not an obligation for holiday hosts to cater to those of us in recovery, it is most definitely appreciated 🙌

Where does your state rank?

“Sober October has appeal to people on all ends of the alcohol use spectrum. The sober curious movement has picked up in recent years, driven by younger generations. According to Mintel, nearly three-quarters of Gen Z and Millennials either closely follow or are interested in trying out a sober curious lifestyle.”

Some of life’s most rewarding experiences start with facing a challenge.

They’re never fun, but they present opportunities for us to grow, evolve, and show what we’re made of.

If you’re facing challenges today, keep pushing through. How you’ll feel on the other side is always worth the effort.
