🎉 Happy Birthday to some of my favorite helpers! ❤️

Bella and Danny celebrated their birthdays last week, and today is Serenity’s birthday! 🥳

Serenity has been volunteering with us for a couple of years now, and this year she’ll be showing some of our animals at the county fair alongside Bella and Danny! 🐴🐷🐐

I’m so proud of these kids and how they always show up to help — whether it’s hot, raining, way too early in the morning, or I just need some extra hands with a program… or wrangling Danny. 😅😂

Bella and Serenity were the very first members of our Teen Group and have been such a huge part of Hatching Hope this year. 🦃💛

So thankful for these three and all the heart (and chaos 😂) they bring to the farm. Happy Birthday, Bella, Danny & Serenity! 🎂❤️

This is our last outside meeting of the year.

A little Hatching Hope fun today! 🌻🦃💛

We worked on centerpieces for our upcoming Community Dinner 🍂, planted some beautiful mums 🌼, and of course made time for plenty of snuggles with our newest piggy, Walter! 🐷💕

📣 CALL TO ACTION: Help Us Finish The Belonging Barn! ❤️🐷🐴

We are incredibly excited to share that Slater Family Farm Outreach has been awarded grants from ⭐️Community Fund Ohio and the Foundation ⭐️to continue making our Belonging Barn a truly accessible space for our community!

Our ADA-accessible portable restroom is already scheduled for delivery, and our next BIG step is getting the concrete floor and accessible area completed.

And this is where we could really use some community help. ❤️

We have approximately $6,000 available in our budget for the concrete project. We have received a professional quote around $9,000, so we are reaching out to see if there is a local concrete contractor, construction company, supplier, or business that might be willing to work with us to help bridge that gap.

Whether that means working within our nonprofit budget, donating or discounting a portion of the labor or materials, or partnering with us in another way—we would LOVE to talk!

The Belonging Barn is being created as an accessible, welcoming space where children, teens, and adults of ALL abilities can participate in farm and animal-assisted programs. Every improvement brings us one step closer to making sure everyone has the opportunity to belong. ❤️
