Just a normal day around here… 😂

💉🩺Yesterday started with an emergency vet call for Winston. A huge thank you to Bliss Veterinary Services for coming out and helping us try to figure out what is going on with our favorite pig🐷 He appreciated the pink lemonade not so much the man handling to get him flipped over 😅

👨‍🌾From there it was off to band and vaccinate a friend’s goats, then straight to the Bakersville Farmers Market where we spent the afternoon sharing our animals and hands on stations with families.

While we were there, we picked up some amazing honey and goat milk fudge from our friends at Toby Way Farm and met with Changing Seasons Woodcrafts II to start planning a custom sign for the Belonging Barn🪧💖

Some days are a little chaotic, a little exhausting, and a whole lot of animals but those are usually the best days. ❤️🐷🐐

Pretty proud of this girl!❤️ Isabella Slater

Bella officially started her own little herd of Katahdin sheep! She spent hours researching, asking questions, and learning what she wanted before making the jump.

She drove quite a ways to meet a wonderful farmer who was incredibly helpful and took the time to answer questions, share advice, and help get her started on the right foot. We’re so thankful for kind people in the livestock community who are willing to help the next generation learn.💪

Now the real work begins! Feeding, caring for, and learning from her new sheep. Watching your kids find something they’re passionate about and work toward it is pretty special.

Can’t wait to see what she does with her little flock. 🐑❤️

Another great day with our Hatching Hope crew! 🦃❤️

On Friday our participants from Hopewell Industries joined our friends Corie and Crimzen, along with some of our amazing Jr. Leaders, for a day of turkey care and teamwork.👏

📈We weighed our growing turkeys, cleaned and disinfected their brooder, feeders, and waterers, and made sure everyone was happy and healthy. It’s been so much fun watching the birds grow!

🍕Of course, no farm day is complete without good food and good company, so we wrapped up the day with a pizza party and lots of laughs.

💖We’re so thankful for everyone who makes Hatching Hope possible and can’t wait to see what the rest of the season brings!🦃

So thankful for Mandy, Jen, Rob, Casey, and their family! ❤️

A few years ago, Casey came out to the farm to help with our Hopewell Industries group, and I’m so grateful that connection led us to meeting such an amazing family.

Today they donated a beautiful mud kitchen and bench ( in memory of Raylan Brenly and Donnie Foster ) 🩵 for the Belonging Barn, and I couldn’t be more thankful for their kindness and support. It’s people like them who help make our little farm community so special.

Thank you all for believing in what we do and for always cheering us on. 🌻🐐

We are SO excited to officially share our upcoming farm camp partnership with the Coshocton County Board of Developmental Disabilities💛🐐

These camps will offer hands on farm experiences, animals, sensory activities, learning opportunities, and lots of fun in an inclusive and welcoming environment.
